Following last month's release of Wicked: For Good, false rumours have once again resurfaced misleadingly claiming Boq actor Ethan Slater has a professional history as a 'gay porn' actor.
Despite having been in a relationship with co-star Ariana Grande since they began filming together in 2023, a saucy video of the 33-year-old posing shirtless is doing the rounds online, which trolls insist has come directly from an adult entertainment site.
In the clip, a super-ripped Slater stands with his arms behind his head as he looks at a male co-star from a different project, before taking said hunk to the ground in a wrestling match of sorts.
A bored-looking woman also also seen sitting on a nearby couch, looking on as the pair play-fight.

What set tongues wagging, however, is that the video bears the logo for GayHoopla in the corner - a pay-for-view website largely consisting of same-sex intimacy movies.
As such, the controversial clip has led a number of social media users to the conclusion that father-of-one Slater - who shares a three-year-old son with ex-wife Lily Jay - carries around an X-rated professional past.
"Is this AI? What is this? This can’t be real? Gay hoopla, too? Like?????" one X user questioned.
"So apparently Ethan Slater did gay p0rn," another continued.
Referencing Grande, another added of Slater: "I kinda see what she sees now lol."
And it's not exactly as if the clip is worlds away from the type you'd see on these such sites. It has the signature artificial lighting, awkward acting and even a cheesy one-liner thrown in.
But the rumours surrounding Slater's sexy pre-Wicked side-hustle are completely untrue, with no evidence ever having come to light proving otherwise.
In fact, as reported by The Tab, the video actually comes directly from a low budget project that the actor took part in back in 2017. Titled FunEmployment, the full film is only 11 minutes long, and sees Slater play a character referred to as 'Isaac's roommate'.
On IMDb, the synopsis for the mini movie reads: "A manny/aspiring comedian gets his ass kicked (literally and figuratively) but has fun anyway."
