MAFS UK Peggy Rose slams ex Georges as a ‘liar’ as she reveals her truth behind break up

MAFS UK Peggy Rose slams ex Georges as a ‘liar’ as she reveals her truth behind break up

She took to Instagram to share a statement on the matter

There's yet another update in the whole Peggy Rose and Georges Berthonneau break-up saga.

Now, unless you've been living under a rock for the past week or so, you'll know that the MAFS UK couple recently called it quits just a matter of months after the couple confirmed that they were still hitched after the show's conclusion,

Since then, Peggy has slammed Georges as a 'liar' after revealing the 'truth' behind their split. Have a look:

The 33-year-old took to Instagram yesterday (29 February) to do a Q&A with her fans.

One fan asked Peggy: "Who broke up with who and why? Someone isn't telling the truth."

The reality TV star then responded: "I know someone isn't telling the truth and that's what's frustrating.

"So [on the] 23 December, Georges messaged me and said, 'Can we have time apart [and] go on a break?

"And then on the 30 January, we had a phone call where he broke up with me saying he wasn't happy in the relationship and then I announced it a couple of weeks later, because of what I found out."

Another fan asked Peggy: "Did Georges have to pay for everything in your relationship?"

The question comes after Georges told MailOnline he was 'really tight for cash' after spending 'thousands' during their relationship.

"She paid for nothing when we were together. I can't afford it... I've had no income since May," he claimed.

Georges added: "I told her, I don't have all the money in the world. We went to Paris for her birthday a month ago, and I spent £1,000 in three days."

Answering the Instagram fan's question, Peggy replied: "No," before calling such allegations 'more lies'.

She went on: "I think, hopefully, you guys have seen the theme now.

"Most of the hotels and restaurants we went to are complimentary [and] gifted anyway, those that are in the social media influencing world will know that and I'm not really sure how' Georges spent thousands on what?

"What did we do? Where did we go? And how would he be able to spend thousands of pounds?

"How would he be able to pay for everything, seriously?"

She concluded: "I paid my way. I work hard for my money. I work hard for my money.

"I don't need a guy to provide for me - never have done never will do."

The news comes after Georges and Peggy announced they'd split.

A couple weeks back (14 February), Peggy took to Instagram story to share with her 205k followers a statement following the break-up.

She hit back at claims Georges made about forking out 'thousands' during their relationship.

It began: "I'm so sorry I've been quiet on socials everybody but there's a reason for my silence.

"Me and Georges are no longer together and I'm absolutely heartbroken."

Shortly after, Georges took to his own Instagram story where he shared a statement on his own to his 178k followers.

"Wasn't expecting a statement from Peggy regarding this situation," he revealed. "I'm heartbroken by our break-up and also trying to come to terms with life without Peggy."

For her part, Peggy said she couldn't bear to watch the recent reunion special, saying on a video in her Instagram story: "I won't be watching it because I can't bear to see me be a fool and me be with a liar and I am gutted because I feel like I have let you all down and it will just be really hard to watch it."

Tyla has reached out to Georges' representatives for comment.
