One dog owner got the shock of her life when she discovered her adorable pooch had chewed his toy into a - *cough* - very rude shape.

Zara Teare, 34, got more than she bargained for when she left her four-year-old pug Dave alone to enjoy his new toy.

When she returned some time later, she found little Dave had chewed his toy into very NSFW shape.

The toy's penis resemblance was uncanny. We have an artiste in our midst!

The mum-of-one from Plymouth, Devon, was so tickled by the creation that she decided to hang on to the toy instead of binning it. (Though it might take some explaining for house guests.)

"I was absolutely speechless when I saw what he had done," she said.

Meanwhile, poor Dave had no clue about his chew toy's rude resemblance and just wanted to carry on chewing it while his mum took pics.

What a creative little pooch! You can't not laugh...

In other dog-related news, Battersea Cats and Dogs Home in London has announced that it had seen a massive increase in the amount of pets being re-homed since coronavirus was declared a pandemic.

In the week of 16th - 22nd March, 86 dogs and 69 cats were re-homed from Battersea - that's more than 150 animals in total!

To give you an idea of how impressive that number is, less than half as many animals were adopted from Battersea in the same week last year.

Then, a grand total of 42 dogs and 29 cats found their forever homes in comparison.

One of the sweet animals that found a home as a result of all this mess was four-year-old Tulip, who had been at Battersea for 110 days before she was adopted.

Tulip was rescued as a stray, which left her with some anxieties that the expert team helped her work through.

Amazing news.
