OK guys, the panic is over.

Earlier this afternoon (5 March), Meta suffered a worldwide outage affecting millions.

The outage has since seen Facebook and Instagram users over the globe all saying the same thing after the major social media platform went down.

The chaos first started when Facebook and Instagram users tried to access their accounts only to find they had been logged out and were left completely unable to log back in.

At the time, Meta acknowledged the issues and said it is 'working on this now'.

"We are aware of an issue impacting Facebook Login. Our engineering teams are actively looking to resolve the issue as quickly as possible," a page on Meta's website explained.

Today's outages were first reported at about 3.30pm and, after around an hour or so, Meta was back up and running but everyone had one question on their minds: "What on earth is my password?"

Many rushed to Reddit and X to share their reactions.

One Reddit user penned: "Great, now I gotta remember my password!"

"Can’t remember my Facebook password situation right now…" revealed another X user.

And a sixth piped up: "The real panic starts when your Facebook got signed out and it ask for password and you don’t remember what your password was."
