Aaron Carter's fiancée has spoken out after the singer's tragic death last week.
The brother of Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, was sadly found dead at his apartment on 5 November, aged 34.
A representative of Carter’s team previously confirmed the tragic news via a statement: “We are extremely saddened and shocked to confirm the passing of Aaron Carter today.

“At the moment his cause of death is being investigated. We ask that you give the family time and they will have more information when available.
“We cannot express the outpouring of love coming in.”
In a statement shared with PEOPLE, fiancée Melanie Martin said: "My heart is completely broken over the passing of my fiancé Aaron. I knew he was struggling, and I tried everything to help him.

"He has a very independent and strong personality, and I couldn't help him in the way I felt he needed it.
"I only wish I had more people to help me with him. I will now be raising our son as a single mother and this is the worst day of my life, but I have to be strong for our son. I'm devastated."
Aaron first found fame as a child star in the 1990s and opened for the US boy band on a number of tours and concerts.
Los Angeles County Police Department say officers attended Carter’s residence in Lancaster, California on Saturday and found someone had died.

The Backstreet Boys have also paid their respects to Carter at their gig in London.
Vocalist Kevin Richardson lead the line and said: "Tonight, we’ve got a little bit of heavy hearts.
"Because we lost one of our family members yesterday.

"We just wanted to find a moment in our show to recognise him.
"Nick’s little brother, Aaron Carter, passed away yesterday, and he’s a part of our family and we thank you guys for all the love, all your well-wishes, and all your support."
A teary Nick is seen in the background as the fans and the band issued their support to the grieving brother.

The singer had previously taken to social media to express his grief, saying: "My heart has been broken today.
"Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded.
"I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed."
