Comedian Chris Rock has spoken out for the first time since his altercation with Will Smith at the Oscars last weekend.
The 57-year-old was hosting this year's Academy Awards when he made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith's shaved head, referring to her as "G.I Jane".
Moments later, King Richard star Will Smith took to the stage and slapped Rock in the face, before warning him to "keep my wife's name out your f*cking mouth." Watch the shocking moment here:
Following the altercation, Will Smith took to Instagram to issue a formal apology to Rock, the Academy, and the Williams family.

Although Rock has been silent on social media, he did speak about the incident during a comedy show in Boston on Wednesday
According to The New York Post, the comedian opened his stand-up show by asking the audience: "How was your weekend?"
He continued: "I don't have like a bunch of s**t about what happened, so if you came here to hear that, I'm not... I had a whole show I wrote before this weekend and I'm still processing what happened. So at some point, I'll talk about that s**t."

Following the shocking events of last weekend, people have been locked in serious debate over whether Will Smith should be stripped of his Oscar.
The Fresh Prince star won an Oscar for Best Actor in a Lead Role just 20 minutes after the dispute with Rock.
It is believed that Rock's joke about Jada hit such a nerve because the actress and singer suffers from the autoimmune disease alopecia.
Pinkett-Smith revealed she was suffering from hair loss in 2018, during one episode of her Red Table Talks series.

She said at the time: "A lot of people have been asking why I've been wearing turbans. Well, I haven't talked about it. It's not easy to talk about, but I am going to talk about it.
"I was in the shower one day and had just handfuls of hair in my hands and I was just like, 'Oh my God, am I going bald?'
"It was one of those times in my life where I was literally shaking in fear. That's why I cut my hair, and why I continue to cut it."
