Jennifer Lopez was afraid Leonardo DiCaprio would be ‘mad’ after she exposed his seemingly flirty text during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Waaaay back in 2016, Lopez, 53, had joined Corden for his famous Carpool Karaoke segment, which saw the duo drive around singing some of her biggest hits including ‘Love Don’t Cost a Thing’ and ‘On The Floor’.
In between songs, though, they decided to take a moment to play a prank on one of her famous friends – and the result could not have been more perfect.

Using Lopez’s phone, Corden sent a text message to none other than Leonardo DiCaprio, just to try and see what his response might be.
It said: “Hey baby, I’m kinda feeling like I need to cut loose. Any suggestions? Let me know, J Lo. You know, from the block.”
Amazingly, DiCaprio did not disappoint.

He replied: “You mean tonight, boo-boo? Club-wise?”
Lopez insisted she didn’t take him up on the offer, opting instead to have a night in cooking with her kids and boyfriend.
The next year, the signer returned to Corden’s show, giving them the opportunity to reflect a little more on the hilarious stunt as they shared the story with fellow guests Terry Crews and Justin Theroux.

Corden, who unsurprisingly said his favourite part of their collab was texting Leo, asked: “How mad did he get?”
Lopez replied: “He wasn’t mad at all! You know, I was afraid he would be mad when it all came out – he was so cool about it.”
She said it was the ‘most embarrassing 20 minutes’ waiting for DiCaprio to reply, but when it finally came, she was surprised by the response.
“That also surprised me – that he actually thought that was me texting him,” Lopez explained. “He answered back like it was totally normally that you would speak that way to him.”

Corden then pressed for more juicy details about DiCaprio’s reply, asking: "Did you know he calls you boo-boo?”
Lopez joked: “I guess he calls every girl boo-boo!”
Speaking about the segment in another previous interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lopez said she eventually had to come clean to DiCaprio, who thankfully took it well.
“I did have to explain it [was Corden's prank] to him'” she said. “He was a great sport about it... he's great. He's a friend and it was nice.

“He was totally like, ‘Do whatever you want, I don't care’.”
