The mum-of-two said she shared a "romantic" moment with Tom in a hospice and described the moment as being "beautiful until the end."
Kelsey spoke with The Sun on Sunday about their last moments together for the first time since Tom's death.
Kelsey got into bed with Tom where they stayed for two hours without interruption because they needed time to talk.

She recalled: "That night I could see within him that he was still trying to figure a way out of this. He’d been in the hospice for just over a week.
“I said, ‘You know Tom, I will be OK, the kids will be OK," Kelsey said. "I will make sure that everything you want them to know, the things that you’ve taught me over the years, I promise to teach them it all’.
“He said, ‘I know you’re going to be OK’. He then took off his wedding ring and put it on my finger."

Although Tom had revealed in November 2021 his tumor was "under control", the tumour has a life expectancy of anywhere between three months to 18 months on average, after diagnosis.
Tom had 30 rounds of chemotherapy and 30 radiotherapy sessions and fought hard to join his bandmates on their UK tour in March.
His funeral took place at St Francis of Assisi church in Petts Wood, in south-east London last month.

Kelsey invited fans to watch the procession and she was seen bidding her husband a final goodbye before the hearse drove away.
She paid tribute to Tom by wearing a gold blazer, in reference to the hit The Wanted song Gold Forever, paired with a gold hair clip with Tom's name.
The couple tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed their daughter, Aurelia Rose, in June 2019 as well as their son, Bodhi, in October 2020.
