Laura Anderson shocked fans last week by announcing her pregnancy with her first child with actor Gary Lucy. However, it later emerged that the pair had gone their separate ways.
Now, the former Hollyoaks actor, 41, has shared what led to the end of his romantic relationship with the 2018 Love Island star, 33.

The pair met last year while filming the most recent series of E4’s Celebs Go Dating. The TV stars confirmed their relationship in December as they spent the festive season together.
Gary has now explained that their break-up happened after a series of rows because he refused to move to Scotland, where the former air hostess is from, because he wanted to be in England where his four other children live with his ex-wife Natasha Gray.
“Laura did want me to move but I have my responsibilities here,” he said about their split.
“I have four kids and all the things that go along with that so it’s very difficult, if not impossible, to uproot at this time,” he told The Sun.

Gary said living so far away from his children in England if he moved to Scotland just wouldn’t work.
“Having gone through a divorce, my children need me and living such a long way from them just would not be possible.
He concluded: “I wish I could break myself in half. I would if I could.”

The former EastEnders actor also said that while his relationship with Laura is over now, he would reconcile with the mum-to-be because he ‘thinks the world of her’.
He also travelled up to Scotland for her first scan, with the proud dad taking pictures of Anderson as the former couple got their first glimpse of the baby, who is due in August.
The Love Island contestant shared the heartwarming video as part of a compilation on Instagram, which showed her pregnancy so far.

She also never before seen photos of the couple, prior to their split. It also included images of her growing bump, footage from an ultrasound and more intimate snaps. Laura captioned the post: "Our hearts are full…Baby Lucy due Summer ’23”.
Referencing the ultrasound images and bump, Gary commented: "There she is [love heart] so very proud of you. Mummy Bear cooking Baby Bear perfectly."
The comment got hundreds of likes, while Love Island alums Molly-Mae Hague - who welcomed her first child last month - Tasha Ghouri and Faye Winter also congratulating her.
