In news that sent shockwaves across social media, 2018 Love Island contestant Adam Collard was announced as a brand new bombshell for the current series. Zara McDermott, who coupled up with Adam in the villa before dating after the show, was filmed as his return was teased at the end of Sunday night's (10 July) episode. Watch below.
Zara's hilarious reaction was captured as it happened by her current boyfriend, Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson. Watching your girlfriend's ex-boyfriend appear on TV could potentially be an awkward experience, but Sam seemingly handled it in the funniest way.

The comments section was filled with laughing-crying emojis, including from the likes of Love Island winners Amber Gill and Liam Reardon.

Adam became one of the most infamous Love Island contestants after forging a reputation for having a wandering eye.
When the 26-year-old coupled up with Zara, he had already been in a couple with Kendall Knight and Rosie Williams. Things were not meant to be with either of those Islanders and he dated Zara after leaving the villa before they split for good in 2019.
Zara opened up about their split at the time, writing: "I am heartbroken to announce that Adam and I have parted ways.

"I love him very much and will always have a special place in my heart for him & our time together. I have tried so hard to be the best person I can possibly be and to make it work. Sometimes in life, you just aren’t enough for someone; no matter what you do for them or how much you try to be.
"For everyone asking if I’m ok, I don’t know that I am. But I know that soon I will be. I will be strong and prove to myself that I can get through this."
Love Island continues tonight at 9:00pm on ITV 2 and ITV Hub.
