Spencer Matthews has clarified the reason why he wasn’t at best friend Jamie Laing’s wedding.
The Made in Chelsea star, 34, tied the knot with long-term girlfriend Sophie Habboo last week in a fancy ceremony at Chelsea and Kensington registry office on King’s Road in west London after a 16-month long engagement.
Pictures were shared of the couple as they emerged from the registry office hand-in-hand in matching shades.

However, fans were quick to notice that Spencer, 34, was abroad on Friday (14 April) when the wedding took place. He was with his wife Vogue Williams, 37, and their three children.
Spencer has now claimed that he wasn’t ‘invited’ to the low-key ceremony and he chatted about missing the wedding on the latest episode of the Spencer & Vogue podcast, where they both set the record straight about their absence after being sent ‘really mean messages’.
“Sophie looked absolutely magnificent, we were absolutely thrilled for them, but we also did not know it was happening because we were not invited,” Spencer confessed.

“I’m being absolutely hammered for ‘snubbing’ my best friend’s wedding to go on holiday.
“I’m not here to b***h about my best friend but there’s been some serious miscommunication from him.”
He addressed speculation in more detail, adding: “I just want set the record straight... I’m not here to whinge. I was not invited to this part of Jamie’s wedding, and neither was Vogue.”
Spencer said his bestie had insisted that hardly anyone was coming to the wedding, which he said would be a ‘tiny’ affair.

The TV personality said he was confused when he returned from his holiday and noticed an article saying he had ‘snubbed’ the wedding.
The dad-of-three told listeners that he would have ‘flown over to Japan’ if he had been invited and if the nuptials took place there because they’re so close. Thankfully, the situation is ‘water under the bridge now’.
The Celebrity Masterchef contestant said he ‘loves Jamie and Sophie’ and insisted that they are ‘very close friends’ and that Jamie has been ‘profusely apologising’ for the misunderstanding.

Vogue also told listeners that they are not fighting with Jamie or Sophie.
The newlyweds are planning to have a second wedding ceremony in Sevilla, Spain in May. In a previous episode of the podcast, Spencer confirmed he is definitely attending the wedding.
We can't wait to see him there!
