Maria Menounos has announced that she is expecting a child after a long time of trying to conceive with her husband.
The 44-year-old TV presenter and her husband Keven Undergaro will become parents for the first time later this year, PEOPLE reports, after having spent 10 years trying ‘everything’.
The pair have explored a number of avenues to conception, including surrogacy and IVF treatment, but now they have the good news and are preparing for life as a family of three.

Maria said: “Just after a decade of trying everything, we are so grateful to the beautiful family helping us conceive our baby,
"Keven, my dad and I are all beyond excited for this soul to come into our lives. What a blessing."
Menounos also shared a clip from the moment she attended the first ultrasound scan along with her father Constantinos.

In that clip, she can be heard saying: “Oh my God!
“Guys, that's my baby. I love you.”
She then adds: “It's so different when you see the real,
“It's more personal when you see it in the womb, right?”

Just last year, Menounos had shared an update on the couple’s fertility journey, which they’ve spoken about a few times publicly.
She said: "I definitely didn't think it was going to take this long. It's been years. We've used different services, different people,
"It's just been a very frustrating process."
The pair first started IVF treatment back in 2012, and even sought advice from her friend Kim Kardashian on surrogacy in 2018 when they were considering it.

Kim’s daughter Chicago and son Psalm were brought into the world through the help of surrogates in 2018 and 2019.
Menounos said: "I was grateful that I had her to share and help me.”
However, it turned out that their first surrogate was not a medical match for them in 2021, leaving the pair devastated.

She said: "That was a really hard breakup because we had been together on the journey for almost two years. She was just so lovely and so amazing and very patient with us,
"There's something called a mock cycle that my fertility doctor suggested because we only have two really good embryos and we want two kids,
"What would happen is the uterine lining wouldn't grow to that last stage where you could safely implant and know that the embryo would stick.
“Had we not done [a mock cycle], we would've probably lost our only chances."
They did find another surrogate, but had been resigned to the idea that their chances of having children were waning.
“I told [my doctors], 'If it doesn't work, I'm done. This is the last straw. If this doesn't happen, it's definitely not meant to be.' I can't go through this process again,” she said.
Now, her and 55-year-old Undergaro can start preparing for the new arrival, and hopefully everything goes smoothly and to plan.
