Coleen Rooney is set to receive £800,000 in legal costs from Rebekah Vardy following the pair's infamous 'Wagatha Christie' libel trial.
Today (4 October) the High Court ruled Vardy has to pay for 90 percent of Rooney's legal costs as a result of losing the libel battle between the pair which came to a close on 29 July, 2022.
The court handed down an order to Vardy to pay fellow WAG Rooney the substantial sum of nearly one million pounds by 4:00pm on 15 November.

However, the £800,000 in legal costs is only the start for Vardy, who is expected to pay a total of nearly £1.5million to her fellow footballer's wife.
Vardy apparently shot herself in the foot due to being partly to blame for why Rooney's legal fees ended up so high.
In the trial, a judge concluded Vardy 'likely [...] deliberately deleted her WhatsApp chat' and subsequently destroyed evidence which Rooney then spent a lot of time and money trying to uncover.

A solicitor from Brabners - the company who represented Rooney - Paul Lunt, told The Guardian: "Coleen’s pursuit of that evidence is a major reason why her legal costs increased substantially from the original estimates given to the court long before the start of the trial."
Journalists from the Sun who were summoned as witnesses at the trial are also set to see their legal fees paid for by Vardy.
Vardy has her own court costs to pay too, bringing the total amount she'll have to cough up to an estimated £3 million plus.

The 'Wagatha Christie' trial all stemmed from several social media posts uploaded to Instagram by Rooney.
Rooney shared three fake stories to her private Instagram account, blocking anyone but Vardy from being able to see them. The stories eventually got leaked to the press and subsequently Rooney resolved Vardy had been behind a series of leaks of 'false stories' about her.
Rooney then published her theory and accusations online, to which Vardy denied any wrongdoing and sued Rooney for libel.
Ultimately, Vardy has lost not only the court battle, but a whopping amount of money too.

While she 'accepts she is the unsuccessful party,' her team has argued that certain aspects of the case mean she deserves a 20 percent reduction from Rooney's fees.
