S Club 7 star Jo O'Meara has revealed she's been rushed to hospital for an emergency surgery for 'horrendous' back pain.
The 'Never Had A Dream Come True' singer shared the worrying news with fans on Wednesday (14 September), posting a photo to Instagram dressed in her hospital gown.
Jo, 43, had originally insisted that the pain wouldn't stop her from performing at her upcoming shows, but her health issues have since taken a turn for the worse.

Announcing the news to her 38.3k Instagram followers, she began: "I am so devastated and sorry to have announce, that I will not be able to attend @fifepride on Saturday!
"As you may well know I have had some health issues with my back recently. And it has resulted in me needing surgery to remove the disc and fix the problem.
"The pain has been unbearable, and I have been advised surgery is now my only option and been told this is something that needs doing urgently to prevent further damage to my back! So I will be going in for the procedure tomorrow!"

She continued: "I am beyond upset to be missing out on such a special day, and I am so so sorry. I hope you all understand that this decision was very hard, but I must put my health first at this time!
"Sending you all so much love and please make sure to 'Reach for those Stars'. Lots of love, Jo."
The update came just under a week after Jo first went to hospital for her back pain.

In an earlier post to Instagram, taken from the hospital bed, Jo had told fans: "So after almost 20 years pain free, my back decided it was time to flake out on me again.
"The pain has been absolutely horrendous ! 4 discs bulging, and a bad case of sciatica I yesterday went for some spinal blockers at the amazing @thelondonclinichospital to get things moving again.
"It will not stop me doing my shows, and I will not be beaten by it!"
Unfortunately, Jo's scheduled Fife Pride performance did have to be cancelled, but hopefully after her surgery this week, she'll soon be back on track.
Jo's news comes soon after she addressed fans' hopes of a possible S Club 7 reunion.

Speaking to Closer about teaming up with Paul Cattermole, Tina Barrett, Rachel Stevens, Hannah Spearritt, Jon Lee, and Bradley McIntosh, Jo spilled: "Everyone always asks if we will get back together.
"It would be great if it were to happen and I would be on board but getting all seven of us in the same room is tricky. We keep in touch when our paths cross though and always say hello.”
She continued: "I have to say, some of the members are up for it. I can actually say who. I know Rachel wants to do it, Hannah wants to do it. I would definitely love to do it, and Brad.
"But obviously, we need all seven so we are going to see what happens really. More than half are up for it so you never know."
