Fans of the Harry Potter films are forever noticing new easter eggs in their endless rewatches of the well-loved films. And just recently, eagle-eyed viewers have spotted something in the second film, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
In the scene, Defence Against the Dark Arts professor Gilderoy Lockhart (Kenneth Brannagh) has unleashed a number of Cornish pixies into the class, attending by the golden trio. This causes a huge amount of chaos, and Lockhart quickly flees the scene.
If you look closely at one point you can see Hermione quickly shove her books of the desk and straight onto the floor.
One Reddit user has theorised that this was a hint at Hermione's intelligence, suggesting that she throws her books as she knows that the pixies will rip apart anything in plain sight.
Throughout the series, Hermione is very studious and protective of her books, so this is certainly a plausible theory.
However, some viewers haven't been convinced. One fan commented: "It looks like she swipes them off while trying to gain leverage to get up fast."
Another wrote: "I always thought it was part of the "acting" to create the chaos the pixies would cause once they were CG'd in later. You'll noticed Harry's books get knocked over too. Rather than CG or SFX the books into action, the actors could just subtly knock them over."
The Harry Potter films are full of these scenes that you'll only be able to notice if you watch carefully. Or on your hundredth re-watch.
Another Reddit user found one these scenes in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire posting that for a second you can see Dobby, or a different House Elf, riding a llama.
While some were convinced this llama-riding elf (yes you read that correctly) is Dobby, others weren't so convinced. One user pointed argued: "That's obviously just a random house elf, Dobby wouldn't just ride past Harry."
Well, whatever your opinion those scenes we're sure everyone can agree that it's time to get out those old DVDs and see what other easter eggs we might have missed.
