I think it's safe to say we're all currently in recovery from the mind-blowing Severance season two finale, with some fans filling the hole by taking a deep dive into actor Adam Scott’s career and personal life.
On 21 March, the second season of Apple TV+’s psychological thriller TV series Severance premiered.
The programme primarily follows Adam’s character, Mark Scout, and his fellow employees at Lumon Industries - a shady company in which workers undergo a medical procedure that ensures they retain no memories of the outside world while working.

By implanting a brain chip into each employee’s head, Lumon Industries also makes sure none of its staff members take any information from the business into their personal lives.
If you haven’t seen the explosive finale then we won’t spoil it for you here. Instead, you can check out our comprehensive ending explainer.
To fill the void, some Severance fans have opted to trawl through Adam’s filmography and TV credits.

The father-of-two’s work stretches back right to 1994’s Dead at 21 and Boy Meets World, and includes early films such as Hellraiser: Bloodline, Star Trek: First Contact and Peter Markle’s The Last Days of Frankie the Fly.
Upon realising the Californian star has been working in the entertainment industry for more than three decades, some have sought out his age - and it’s fair to say they’re surprised.

“This is more shocking than any twist on the show,” wrote one fan after discovering how old the Severance star is.

A second joked: “Adam Scott and Paul Rudd started an MLM with Satan and are now reaping the benefits.”
“Bro doesn’t age, he looks better now than when he was younger tho,” someone else commented.
“Crazy that people who never do hard labour look young at 50. Crazy stuff,” replied another.
A fifth said: “Need that moisturiser he uses.”

Of course, a quick Google search will tell you that the actor's birthday is 3 April, 1973 - making him 51 years old.
Following season two of Severance, Apple TV+ has already confirmed the fate of the workplace thriller.
“Cue the choreography and merriment,” the streaming service's official Twitter account posted on 21 March.
“#Severance has been renewed for Season 3.”

Speaking out on how soon we could have the programme back on our screens, show creator Dan Erickson told Variety: “We’re hoping that there are no massive strikes or pandemics or fissures opening up in the crust of the Earth that end up delaying us.

“But, Severance has always been a show that takes a long time to make, and we’re proud of what we came up with, even though it took quite a long time.”
If you’re already missing Scott on your screens, then the Parks and Recreation favourite has a slew of new projects on the horizon.
These include a confirmed appearance in Seth Rogen’s new comedy series, The Studio, Kevin Hamedani’s The Saviors with Danielle Deadwyler and Ron Perlman, and a supernatural flick based in Ireland.
The latter, titled Hokum, was written and directed by Damian McCarthy and stars Adam alongside Peter Coonan and David Wilmot.
