Anne Hathaway has issued an apology to a reporter after their 'awful' interview resurfaced online.
Back in 2012, The Devil Wears Prada star sat down with Norwegian journalist Kjersti Flaa for a press junket to promote Les Misérables.
However, the interview went far from smoothly as Flaa claimed Hathaway was extremely 'rude' and 'dismissive', prompting the Oscar-winner to issue a personal apology over a decade later.

Now, Flaa - who is the same journalist who endured a 'nightmare' interview with Blake Lively back in 2016 - had deliberately designed her questions around themes of the musical.
Following the theme, she asked the actors to sing their responses to her questions and claimed Hathaway 'was not very positive to that idea'.
The Princess Diaries actress said she 'won't be doing that' when asked to sing and responded with just a 'no' when asked several other questions centred around themes of romance in the heart-wrenching musical.

Flaa also noted that Hathaway's co-stars, Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman, were happy to oblige.
The footage resurfaced earlier this week when the journalist shared the interview on YouTube in a video titled 'This might be my worst interview idea ever'.
Flaa claimed Hathaway was 'not very nice' and felt as if she 'hated' her.

Now 12 years after the interview took place, Flaa revealed to her fans that she's recently received an apology from Hathaway.
Speaking about the apology, which had been emailed via her publicist, Flaa said: "I have to say, I was pretty shocked.
"I had not expected her to reach out to me at all. I thought she was never gonna even see that video. But she did. And she did something pretty amazing."
Explaining the situation further, the journalist said Hathaway sent her 'a long email explaining to me what she was going through right then when she did this interview, and she apologised for being…giving me an awful interview basically'.

Flaa carried on: "It was so touching to me. Just talking about it makes me almost teary eyed, ‘cause I was just so grateful that she did that.
"And it was a very personal note. And we decided that I wouldn’t share exactly what was in the email, but I just wanted to share with you guys what she did."
To make amends even further, Flaa added that Hathaway even invited her to her next project for another interview in a hopes of rectifying the 2012 mishap.
