Ariana Grande is currently making headlines all over the globe for her portrayal of Glinda in Wicked - but years before now, she went viral for a very different reason.
The 31-year-old singer split from her ex-fiancé Pete Davidson in 2018, a few months after they'd announced their engagement.
Their romance was truly a whirlwind, with the two devoting tattoos to each other and Grande even naming a song on her album 'Sweetener' after Davidson.

It seemed like the two would be together forever, with Grande singing: "Universe must have my back / Fell from the sky into my lap / And I know you know that you're my soulmate and all that."
And Grande's fans couldn't wait to hear the track in full when she first teased the song.
One excited fan took to Twitter to ask Grande: "How long is Pete?', which, if you get your mind out of the gutter, was innocently querying how long the length of the song was.

The mortified fan then clocked onto the potential double meaning and sent a follow-up tweet, explaining: "OH AS IN THE INTERLUDE NOT AS IN….. ANYWAY."
Grande saw it as the perfect opportunity to boast about her, apparently very well-endowed, lover.
She wrote back: "Like 10 inches? …. Oh f**k …. I mean … like a lil over a minute."
Of course, the moment broke the internet and the comedian came to be known as the ultimate symbol of 'BDE' (big d**k energy).

It's definitely not the worst thing to be known for, and during his 2020 Netflix special, Alive in New York, Davidson mentioned Grande's comment in his standup routine.
He said: "I don’t like that she talked all that sh*t for my penis," before mentioning that the singer is only 5 foot 3.
"Everything is huge to her. Why would she tell everyone that I have a huge penis? So that every girl who sees my d**k for the rest of my life is disappointed."

It seems his reputation continued to precede him, however, as even Kim Kardashian, who Davidson would end up dating between 2021-2022, had also heard about it - and it seemingly sparked her interest.
The Skims founder shared on an 2022 episode of The Kardashians: "I wasn't even thinking, 'Oh my God, I'm gonna be in a relationship with him.'
"I was just thinking like, 'Heard about this BDE, need to get out there."
