Fans of Ariana Grande are convinced they've 'worked out' why she covers up her tattoos for events after noticing a pattern.
Now, the 31-year-old 'Side to Side' singer and Wicked star is no stranger to a bit of ink as, through the years, she's collected quite a few tattoos including designs like butterflies on her arms, a moon on her neck, scripture on her back and a whole bunch of finger and hand tats just to name a handful.
However, fans have noticed that she's started 'covering up' some of her reportedly 50+ tattoos.

In a number of events - including the Oscars and the more recent Golden Globes - Grande has been papped with her various tattoos covered up with some super high-coverage body make-up.
Attempting to get to the bottom of the 'reason' as to why, one fan took to Reddit to share their theory as to why Grande's been reportedly 'covering up her tattoos since 2021'.
Explaining the cover-ups first began during her stint as a judge on The Voice, the fan continued: "It is unknown why she chose to cover her tattoos on The Voice, they may have been seen as too distracting."

They continued: "She also covered up her tattoos during her wedding [to Dalton Gomez], so I think her seeing them as too distracting is the more believable option.
"Ariana also said she was testing out REM beauty products around the time, so may have used it as an opportunity to test the coverage of the concealer."
The fan also noted that Grande has been shooting Wicked since late 2022, speculating: "And as a result has had to cover up a lot of her tattoos pretty much every day (which is why with some of these tattoos the last time we truly saw them was mid 2022).
"I'm sure once Wicked wraps up we will see them a lot more."

Grande has also recently set the record straight once and for all on her botox use after one joke of hers left people seriously confused.
Deciding to have a little fun with the rumour mill, the A-lister made a pretty iconic joke during a recent awards ceremony which clearly went down a treat with her fans.

Grande spoke to Entertainment Tonight in a clip posted earlier this week where the interviewer joked: "I must be a rising star too because of Botox!"
"Oh my gosh, my joke, my bit," Grande laughed, referencing her hilarious acceptance speech at the 36th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards where she took home the Rising Star award on Friday (3 January).
During the ceremony, Grande quipped: "I never thought at the age of 31 I would be hearing the words rising star again. So I want to start by thanking my good friends, botox and Juvederm."

In the ET interview, the 'Side to Side' singer went on to assure fans: "I'm still clean. I'm still clean, but when I start going again, I'll let you know - I mean it."
"I really want to be transparent as a beauty founder," Grande continued, pointing to R.E.M Beauty business which she founded a few years back in 2021. "I think it's important of transparency, but I love it and I support it, but I am still four years clean."
And it would appear as if Grande will stay off the 'tox for the time being as she pointed to her fine lines, saying: "You see the lines? I love them!"
