Avril Lavigne revealed that she 'shared' some words of wisdom with Justin Bieber after learning of his health diagnosis.
The Sk8er Boi singer, 40, revealed she was diagnosed with Lyme disease ten years ago - but she isn't the only celebrity to have suffered with the condition.
Lyme disease is caused by tick bites, which generates a circular rash and flu-like symptoms.

Speaking to USA TODAY, Avril opened up about what has gotten her through the battle with illness.
She said: "Music has been more healing than ever for me.
"I was at a point where I wasn't sure whether I'd be working or even doing music again, and then I started writing songs from my bedroom."

She added: "It was cool for me to see because it showed me that music is such a big part of who I am without even thinking about it or trying to make a record."
Justin Bieber is one of the most recent celebrities to have come out and talk about his battle with Lyme disease.
In 2021, the star revealed that he had been suffering with hate comments about his appearance.
He addressed them in a statement on Instagram, where he wrote: "While a lot of people kept saying Justin Bieber looks like s***, on meth etc they failed to realise I’ve been recently diagnosed with Lyme disease, not only that but had a serious case of chronic mono which affected my skin, brain function, energy, and overall health."

Having been made aware of it, Avril reached out to him to 'share' some advice.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, she said: "I just reached out like, 'Yo, here for you if you need any advice. I can share my knowledge with you'.
"He was appreciative of that, but I think it seems like he is doing well. He put out new music and he had a tour, also."

She added: "He is also a warrior overcoming Lyme and that was the whole inspiration behind my song, 'Warrior'.
"That and ‘Head Above Water’ were the two first songs I wrote for this album because I was freshly coming out of fighting Lyme disease, so naturally that was what was on my heart. I love that I get to bring this out now and have it have a whole new meaning."
While Bieber noted that Lyme is 'so far an incurable disease', it is mostly treated successfully with antibiotics.
