The woman who was asked by a man 'to name 3 songs' from the band on her t-shirt without realising who she really was has now spoken out about the situation.
Jo, who is one fifth of the Athens-hailing rock & roll band, Bad Habits, went viral earlier this month after taking to TikTok to share a clip explaining: "Guys, I was casually waiting for my food wearing my band's merch and a guy came up to me and asked me to name three songs."
Wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the logo for Bad Habits, she sits awkwardly wondering what just happened given that she is the singer of the band this bloke was 'asking' about.

"I don't know how I should feel about this..." she captioned the video.
The video has since racked up over 2.5 million views alongside thousands upon thousands of 'incredible comebacks' suggested for Jo to respond to the man with should something like that happen again in the future.
Now, amidst the avalanche of hilarious comeback suggestions and support - there were a few skeptics who were convinced the scenario was made up.

So, we've spoken to Jo herself to get the lowdown on the whole ordeal.
So what happened?
"I saw a meme circling round the internet about the sad universal reality of dudes fact-checking the music knowledge of people who wear band t-shirts, and had an idea about a video mocking this situation," Jo exclusively told Tyla.
What was your reaction to the clip going viral?
"The reaction was pretty cool!" Jo explained, noting some of the 'hilarious' comebacks which people suggested.

Such comebacks included 'name three band members' and, my personal favourite, 'name 5 women that feel safe around you'.
"I couldn’t decide which one was my favourite," Jo added. "But of course there were also spiteful comments, we try not to care too much about them."
Did you expect the video to receive as much attention as it did?
"Well," Jo began. "We didn’t expect it to blow up THAT much.

"We thought the idea was fun and it would be a laugh but the response surely exceeded our expectations by far!"
If this situation was to happen again, how would you respond?
Jo explained that all the 'creative comebacks' people suggested in the TikTok's comment section has definitely left her with 'many options to choose from'.
"Someone suggested that I start belting out a song and I think I would go with this!" she joked.
How many times has this happened to you?
It's not all fun and games, however, as Jo has shared the 'sad truth' that this has happened 'multiple times to most music fans'.

"Some people feel the need to gatekeep everything, and I’ll never get the point of doing this, to be honest," she admitted.
Many people believe it was a publicity stunt for your band, what can you say to that? It's an ingenious move if so!
Jo began by referencing one of the comments under the video which read: "In today’s episode of things that never happened."
She continued to reveal: "We had many funny and sarcastic comments about it not being a true incident.
"And yes, of course, they were right. It didn’t happen.
"The video was actually sarcastic as well since this is happening in real life all the time."
Jo carried on: "So yeah, I thought that in a hypothetical scenario it’d be funny if someone asked me to name three songs of my own band, and without thinking much about it, I posted it!
"The funny thing is we had a similar experience with someone wearing a t-shirt of our band. When we went up and said 'Hey dude, cool t-shirt!!' he had no idea who we were.
"So, to sum up: Did it really happen? No. Does it happen all the time in real life? Yes.
"Did we have fun posting this? Yes.
"Did it introduce us to many new people that enjoy our music? Also yes!"
Any advice to anyone else who gets mocked in the same way?
Jo says making someone feel uncomfortable by asking them to name three songs is 'a pretty lame thing to do in my opinion'.
"So, you shouldn't worry much if you ever get asked to name three songs, an album, a band member, or whatever." she resolves. "Even If you can’t name them. You can maybe suggest three ways to mind their own business."
Noted.
