There’s nothing quite like a protective older sister to thwart the online hate train, and that’s exactly what Blake Lively’s sister is doing.
If you’ve not been living under a rock, you’ll know that there has been some major backlash heading over to Blake after her latest film, It Ends With Us, premiered.
Even though a lot of people loved the film, there was a good chunk of people who didn’t enjoy the supposed glamification of a domestic abuse storyline.

With hoards of people heading over to Blake’s social media pages to tell her off for her quotes during the press tour for the film, it’s not been an easy ride for the actress this month - especially after a resurfaced video of her 'being rude' to a journalist did the rounds online.
But her sister isn’t having any of it.
Robyn weighed in on the hate train against her famous sister online on Instagram.

When one person wrote a birthday message for Blake, who turned 37 on Sunday 25 August, Robyn was appreciative.
The commenter wrote: “Blake is a lovely human being! I hope she knows that the multitudes of people who love her is so much greater than the negative voices. Happy Birthday Blake!!”
Robyn responded: “Thank you for this.”
The actress then wrote her own ode to Blake: “That’s my bday queen right there! I love this girl, my sister, my best friend, my little piggy back buddy!

"You are one of the best humans I know. HAPPY birthday sissy britches!"
The hate has been immense since Blake released her latest film, especially when rumours circulated online that she had been feuding with the film’s director, Justin Baldoni, who also stars in the film alongside her.
The film is an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel, and fans were quick to point out the differences between the book and flick, particularly the eccentric fashion choices on set.

Then it was the fact that the cast unfollowed Justin that raised hairs, and then the bombshell was released.
An unreleased interview Blake had in 2016 with a journalist who admitted that it made her want to quit her career after it.
During the interview, Blake was congratulated ‘on your little bump’ by the woman, as she was heavily pregnant at the time of the interview.

But the response probably wasn’t something the journo was expecting.
Blake then sarcastically congratulated Norwegian reporter Kjersti Flaa’s bump too, even though she wasn’t pregnant and didn’t appear to be either.
She was also called out by fans for her response during the interview when asked about the period costumes she had to wear, asking her co-star Posey Parker: “Everyone wants to talk about the clothes, but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes."
It’s been a wild ride, that’s for sure.
Tyla has previously approached Blake's reps for comment.
