Celebrity Big Brother star Stephanie Davis has provided fans with a health update after being rushed to hospital.
The 31-year-old actor, who joined the cast of Coronation Street as Courtney Vance last year, revealed to fans that she has been suffering from a pretty bad chesty cough for a number of weeks now.
Yesterday (23 April), Stephanie took to Instagram to share with her 947k followers that she was first sent to the hospital after doctors initially thought she had pneumonia.

She posted a lengthy statement to her story, beginning: "Had a bad chest infection for three weeks now.
"Went to the doctors today and they sent me to hospital thinking it was pneumonia, thankfully it’s just a really bad infection I can’t shift."
The soap star, who also played Sinead O'Connor in Hollyoaks, went on to thank her mum for supporting her through the situation, continuing: "My lovely mum sat with me for most of the day. So grateful for all she does and has done for me. Felt like it was a therapy session."

Stephanie finished off the post assuring fans: "We ended the day on a good laugh, nearly wetting ourselves in the car park when she screamed thinking her car was bashed, dinted and scratched and then vigorously tried to wipe the mark off to realise it wasn’t her car.
"Love you mum, thank you for always being there."
She explained that she was put on steroids which 'never agree' with her alongside more antibiotics and 'something to break up [her] chest'.
"So hopefully can have a day cough free soon," she concluded.

Stephanie, who is in a relationship with her boyfriend, Joe McKalroy, previously shared the exciting news of her music career.
She's shared a series of snaps with her followers chronicling her journey in the industry.

She continued: "Music was my first love & I’ve done a 360 back around to it, which is quite fitting for my album and my story.
"My life today is all about giving back and helping others, and my hope is that my music and songs helps someone and gives them hope in their life or even identification to know they are not alone!
