Chris Hemsworth fans have reacted to a picture he posted of his son as he shared a photo dump of a recent trip to Japan.
Hemsworth, best known for playing Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently snapped a picture of his 11-year-old son doing a certain adult gesture, sparking controversy in his comment section.
The actor, his wife Elsa Pataky and their three children were vacationing in Japan at the time when he pulled out his photography skills and took a little picture to commemorate the journey.

However, while the background was amazing, it’s his son’s hand that a lot of people can’t get over.
In the picture, his middle finger was in the air, giving the sign to the camera that we all know means ‘f*** off’.
Anyway, while it’s not uncommon for tweens to make rude gestures, it isn’t as common for celebrities to post their kids doing it.

For fans, it was both a good and bad surprise to see.
One follower wrote: “Not the finger that's ghetto.”
Another commented: “Nice thing to be teaching kids to give the middle finger really.”
Someone else said: “Yes! Love this - keep being real. Love you and your entire family.”

A fourth wrote: “Let's normalize letting kids do the middle finger. Smdh.”
Finally, a fifth added: “My kids love giving me the middle finger salute too. It's all about context and it is not at all suggestive of the kind of kid or their behavior. My kids are polite, well behaved and exemplary students who would never be disrespectful to anyone. I'm guessing this is a joke and should be taken as such.”
The comments were quite balanced when it came to reactions of the boy doing the gesture, and I’m pretty sure we all did it at that age, whether it was to our parents or behind their backs.

Anyway, the 41-year-old seemed to take it all in his stride and later posted a snap of his son making a gun gesture too, as well as a few shots of him and his wife Elsa.
It was three years ago that the actor learned he was genetically predisposed to developing Alzheimer’s Disease and took time off from work so that he could spend time with his family.
He said he would have a ‘good chunk of time off’, as he shared with Vanity Fair: “Doing an episode on death and facing your own mortality made me go, ‘Oh God, I’m not ready to go yet’.”
He said: “I want to sit and be in this space with a greater sense of stillness and gratitude. And then you start talking about kids and family.

“It really triggered something in me to want to take some time off. And since we finished the show, I have been completing the things I was already contracted to do.”
The actor went on to share that he underwent a test which had shown he had two copies of the gene APOE4, which has been linked to the development of Alzheimer’s disease.
