Cole Sprouse had one regret after losing virginity aged 14 to older girl

Cole Sprouse admitted it wasn't the most romantic experience

Cole Sprouse has opened up about his 'regret' after getting his virginity 'out of the way' on holiday with an older girl.

A holiday fling can be one of two things - romantic, or just plain awkward.

Some picture it as a love-at-first-sight kind of situation, being swept of your feet by a sun-kissed hottie.

Others have a much different experience, which consists of one night of wild antics, and then having to awkwardly dodge them around the pool for the rest of your trip.

And Cole Sprouse appears to have experienced the latter when losing his virginity aged just 14 during a family trip to Florida - he was also still starring as Cody in Disney's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.

During an appearance on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast in March 2023, the 31-year-old opened up about the 'regret' he felt following the awkward experience.

He said: "We were down at the beach on some chaise lounges and I looked at her, my heart was beating, and I finally mustered up the courage to deliver a line that my brother has never, ever let down from me.

"I looked around and I was like, 'So, are you DTF?' She goes, 'What?' And I go, 'You know, down to f**k?' I was 14.

"She looked at me and she was like, 'Sure.'"

Cole remembered messaging his brother, Dylan Sprouse, and their friend at the time, telling them he needed the hotel room.

And unluckily, they bumped into each other in the hallway.

He added: "My brother just looks at me and he goes, 'What the f**k are we supposed to do?'

"I looked at him and I said another line that he's never forgiven me for. I go, 'I don't know, go play chess or something'."

Giving details about the experience, Cole said he lasted about '20 seconds', and admitted he 'never talked' to the girl again - an experience which left him feeling pretty deflated.

Cole reflected: "I ended up regretting it a little bit afterwards because I hadn't made it special at all.

"I sort of got it out of the way."

The actor then opened up about his relationships following his bad experience, stating that they were mostly built on a 'sexual foundation' more so than 'emotional'.

He said: "I was younger and stupid and not the greatest partner."

But it seems as though Cole has since developed much better foundations for a relationship as he has now been dating girlfriend Ari Fournier for three years.
