An official statement has cleared up the Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin split rumours.
Earlier today, it was reported by various news outlets that Johnson, 34, and Martin, 47, had called off their engagement.
Speaking about the Coldplay singer and The Lost Daughter star, a source allegedly told MailOnline: "They’ll always have love for each other but they’ve both come to the conclusion the relationship cannot be sustained long-term.

"They’re both busy people, Chris has been in Europe with Coldplay and they both have personal priorities, passions and work commitments which don’t naturally intertwine with each other.
"They wanted it to work but it just hasn’t, and they’ve now accepted it is best to move on."
The pair first got together back in 2017 and had been engaged for several years so understandably, it was quite a shock when the speculation first started.

Since then, Dakota's representatives have cleared up the rumoured split - confirming the reports are 'not true' at all.
They told Tyla in a statement today (16 August): "The reports are not true," adding: "They are happily together."
A source also reportedly confirmed the news to The Sun saying the rumours were a load of 'rubbish'.

"It’s rubbish, Chris and Dakota are still together," the source said. "They can’t be with each other all the time because they have busy work schedules.
"But she flew out to be with him a couple of weeks ago in Helsinki. They’re all good."
The pair first sparked engagement rumours back in December 2020 after photos surfaced of Johnson wearing a large emerald ring on her left hand.
At the time, both Johnson and Martin's reps made no comment on the matter pushing the speculation into overdrive.

According to The Mirror: "The couple got engaged a while ago and have kept the news private. But now they are being open about it with their circles.
"They have been besotted with each other from day one so taking this next step was inevitable."
The publication added, however, that the pair are 'in no rush to plan the wedding, but are just enjoying making their commitment official'.
Speaking to Elle in December 2021, Johnson shared: "We've been together for quite a while, and we go out sometimes, but we both work so much that it's nice to be at home and be cozy and private.

"Most of the partying takes place inside my house."
