Demi Moore's daughter hits out after mum is accused of snubbing Kylie Jenner in awkward video

Demi Moore's daughter hits out after mum is accused of snubbing Kylie Jenner in awkward video

Some Golden Globes viewers thought The Substance actor Demi Moore was awkwardly avoiding The Kardashians star

Demi Moore did not purposefully ignore Kylie Jenner at this weekend's Golden Globes, the actor's daughter has insisted.

Speaking out on Instagram, Tallulah Willis - the youngest daughter Moore shares with ex-husband Bruce Willis - issued a statement on the speculation, after a video of her mother from the star-studded ceremony went viral online.

Sunday night (5 January) was a huge success for The Substance star.

Moore, 62, was up against Anora actor Mikey Madison, Wicked's Cynthia Erivo, and Emilia Pérez star Karla Sofía Gascón, Nightbitch's Amy Adams and Challengers front-woman Zendaya in the Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical category.

Thankfully, her stint in gory horror - released in September last year - hugely paid off, and the mother-of-three returned home with a hefty accolade following an emotional speech about ageing in Hollywood.

It wasn't just Moore's prestigious victory that set tongues wagging, however, but a video-recorded interaction she endured with US reality star Kylie Jenner.

Social media was set ablaze when a clip saw the Ghost favourite wander over to another table during the ceremony's interval, where she hugged and spoke to fellow movie star Elle Fanning, and caught up with A Complete Unknown star Timothée Chalamet.

Sitting between the pair, however, was Chalamet's date Jenner, who Moore appeared to snub by failing to acknowledge in the footage.

Body language expert Darren Staton previously told Tyla - on behalf of Betfair Casino - that Moore seemingly 'wants to get away' from Jenner and 'isn't interested' in talking.

He explained: "Demi turns her body away from Kylie straight away. Directionally, if you’re talking to someone, look at their feet.

"The position their feet are in is important. With Demi, her body is pointing in the right direction, but she wants to get away quite quickly."

Stanton added: "While she kept a smile through Kylie’s gestures, Demi doesn’t show she’s that impressed or interested in developing a relationship.

"She pointed her body away, pushed back as subtly as she could and started a conversation with someone else when she sat down."

As we say, Moore's daughter Tallulah Willis has now issued a statement on the 'awkward' interaction, claiming there was no malice in her mother's actions.

Taking to Instagram, the 30-year-old wrote on her Story: "NIPPING THIS STRAIGHT IN THE BUD - we spent new years with Elle, so connecting with her after a win was a very organic thing to do."

Speaking of her mother, she added: "This angel was in total shock and delight and moving throughout a warm room of well wishers. There was [no] snub of any sort, had she seen KJ wanting to congratulate her she would have fully given her the time and space.

"Literally just give it all a break and let a gal enjoy her accomplishments!"

Willis and her two sisters - Rumer, 36, and Scout, 33 - watched the Golden Globes from home, sharing their reactions to their mother's win online.

Gushing over Moore, Willis described her as the 'greatest teacher'.

"The genuine shock makes me tear up," she added.

"You are so worth. The world is seeing you as your family does, and I am beaming with pride."

In another post, she wrote: "My absolute muse, my queen, the joy I see in your face lights a thousand bulbs."
