Demi Moore once revealed exactly how you're actually supposed to pronounce her name, and people are only now just realising they’ve been getting it wrong this whole time.
The 62-year-old The Substance star, who recently took home a Golden Globe for her role as Elisabeth Sparkle in the hit MUBI horror, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon back in 2017 where she opened up about her first name.
It all started with Fallon telling Moore that he knew a 'couple Demis'.
"Yes, and I know Demi also," Moore responded, to Fallon asked: "Demi Lovato?"

"I do. I hear she’s one of your BFFs," Moore said, while teasing, "and I felt very left out of that."
Moore later opened up about a 'great conversation' she had with Lovato, revealing that while the pair have the same name spelling, their personal pronunciation is world's apart.
"Our families say our names the same, but we each individually pronounce it differently," she explained, adding: "It works better with our last names.”
"Like, 'Deh-mee Lovato' sounds really good. And 'Duh-mee' Moore sounds really good."

After catching light of the news, fans rushed to social media to share their reactions with one X user writing: "What do you mean Demi Moore’s first name isn’t pronounced like that?"
"Okay maybe I’m stupid but I did NOT think that’s how you pronounced Demi Moore’s name," penned a second.
A third confessed: "I've been pronouncing the accent on Demi Moore's name wrong this entire f*cking time."

"Has anyone noticed Demi Moore’s name is basically Demure? Like when you say it fast??" wondered another.
And a final X user revealed: "Ever since I heard Demi Moore pronounce her name I’ve chosen to stan because how could you not."
This year's Golden Globes ceremony was a monumental success for Moore, as she took home the 'Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical' accolade.

After she was announced as the winner, Moore claimed she was 'in shock', revealing that - despite being a permanent red carpet fixture throughout the 90s and 00s - this was the first win in her career.
"I've been doing this for a long time," she told viewers. "Over 45 years, and this is the first time I've ever won anything as an actor."
In her emotional speech, the Ghost actress continued: "Thirty years ago, I had a producer tell me that I was a popcorn actress and at that tine, I made that mean that [awards] weren't something I was allowed to have, that I could do movies that were successful, that made a lot of money, but that I couldn't be acknowledged.
"I bought in, and I believed that, and that corroded me over time, to the point where I thought a few years ago that maybe this was it, maybe I was complete. I've done what I was supposed to do.

"And as I was at this kind of low point, I had this magical, bold, courageous, out-of-the-box script come across my desk called The Substance, and the universe told me that you're not done."
