Geri Horner ditches husband's surname in new video following texting scandal

Geri Horner ditches husband's surname in new video following texting scandal

The name change comes after allegations were made against her husband, F1 boss Christian Horner

Geri Horner has reverted back to her maiden name Halliwell in a new video, which comes after allegations were made against her husband Christian Horner.

Red Bull's Formula 1 team principal Christian was accused of inappropriate behaviour, before the allegations were later dismissed against the F1 boss.

The accusations against the Red Bull team principal by a female employee alleged that Christian had been inappropriate to her.

An internal investigation by Red Bull's parent company Red Bull GmbH in May found Christian to be cleared and all grievances were dismissed.

In a statement at the time, Red Bull said: "The independent investigation into the allegations made against Mr Horner is complete, and Red Bull can confirm that the grievance has been dismissed.

"The investigation report is confidential and contains the private information of the parties and third parties who assisted in the investigation, and therefore we will not be commenting further out of respect for all concerned. Red Bull will continue striving to meet the highest workplace standards."

Christian has always denied any wrongdoing after allegations of misconduct rose against him.

While the former Spice Girl has always stood by her husband, she recently starred in a video for fashion designer Christian Dior, which saw her introduce herself to the camera using her maiden name.

In the clip she said: "'C'est moi Geri, Geri Halliwell," which translates as "It's me, Geri, Geri Halliwell".

The video continues as Geri then explores the Dior In Scotland exhibition which is on show at Drummond Castle in Perthshire.

Earlier in the year, Christian had said it had a 'testing' week for himself and Geri when the allegations were made public.

He said: "My wife has been phenomenally supportive through this, as has my family, but the intrusion on my family is now enough, and we need to move forward and focus on what we are here for."

Throughout the scandal, Geri has stood by her husband but admitted she was 'devastated' by this event in their lives.

In March she flew out to Bahrain ahead of the opening grand prix in the Gulf kingdom to support Christian, as the alleged flirty texts landed online and accusations of misconduct were initially alleged.

Geri and Christian married in 2015 and share a seven year old son called Monty. Geri also has an 18-year-old daughter, Bluebell, with screenwriter Sacha Gervasi.
