Gogglebox’s Stephen Webb spilled more details on why he quit the popular Channel 4 show.
Channel 4 viewers were absolutely gutted when the news broke last September that one their favourite couples on the show, Stephen and his husband Daniel Lustig-Webb, would be departing.
At the time, the former couple announced their exit on social media in a statement to their followers.
In a post on Instagram, they told fans: "After careful consideration, Daniel and I have decided we will not be returning for the new series of Gogglebox. We feel the time is right to move on and explore other opportunities."

Continuing, they added: "We would both like to thank Channel 4 and Studio Lambert for letting us be part of this amazing, funny and heartwarming show. We are also extremely thankful to the cast and crew, or Gogglebox family as we call them, and of course the fans, thank you for all of your love and support over the years."
Channel 4 also shared a statement following Stephen and Daniel's exit: "After a brilliant and illustrious time on Gogglebox, Stephen and Daniel have decided that now is the right time to explore life beyond the sofa and leave the show.
"As one of the original Goggleboxers, Stephen has entertained the nation with his hilarious quips since the show first started in 2013, sharing his opinions on the best and biggest TV events of the last ten years."

The pair have since divorced, announcing the news in April of this year after 11 years together.
Stephen told The Sun that he and Daniel 'unfortunately grew apart' but that there is still 'a lot of love' between them.
Since then, Stephen has returned to our screens on Celebs Go Dating - where he made a pretty funny confession about one possible reason he left the TV show after a decade.

In short, he was getting bored of his own jokes.
"I thought, 'I just can’t go back, I’m sick of it'," he explained. "I got to the 10th anniversary of Gogglebox. I started feeling like Ken Barlow... there from day one."
The 53-year-old added: "I was churning out the same old sh*t. I’d say to the guys, 'Sorry, you’ll have heard this 10 times before...'
"I don’t know why they’ve not cottoned on."

Stephen then referenced his go-to gag which seemed to make the final cut 'every time', adding: "When I shoved the doughnut in my mouth and swallowed... I must have done that four times.
"It made it on every time."
