Hugh Jackman’s ex-wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, made a somewhat surprising confession about her divorce from the Wolverine actor.
The 68-year-old actress, who is back with her first acting role since 2016, has opened up about her relationship with the 56-year-old Hollywood A-lister following their split after nearly three decades of marriage.
The pair, who share two children Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18, together, announced their divorce in a joint statement last year (15 September 15 2023).

It read: "We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.
"Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."
They continued: "Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.

"We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives."
The former couple signed off the official statement 'Deb and Hugh Jackman,' adding: "This is the sole statement either of us will make."
Following the divorce, Deborra got back into the biz starring in the thriller-mystery flick, The Dry 2, which hit cinemas earlier this year.

Promoting it back in January, the Corelli star opened up about what she was looking forward to both professionally and personally.
"It is kind of exciting," Deborah told the Daily Telegraph ahead of the release of her latest film.
"You know what, change, transition, evolution is a little frightening and we are all a bit scared of it but I think it is probably our greatest gift."

Speaking about the film, the mum-of-two explained: "For me it was a strong female ensemble cast, a great director, I love Eric (Bana), it was coming home to Australia to shoot in the wilds.
"There were so many appealing factors for me and a great script by Jane Harper and director Robert Connolly."
Deborra and Hugh first met back in 1995 on the set of the Aussie prison drama, Correlli.
Deborra starred as Louisa Corelli, a prison psychologist who was hired at an all-male prison before forming a connection with hardened criminal, Kevin Jones, played by Hugh.

After clearly hitting it off on set, they then tied the knot just a few years later in 1996 before having their first child, Oscar, in 2000 and then adopting their second child, Ava, in 2005.
