Jennifer Lopez has made a rare emotional admission about her struggles following her divorce from Ben Affleck.
Following numerous break-up rumours, Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck after just two years of marriage, with the official date of their separation reportedly being noted as 26 April, 2024.
Despite their split, the pair have continued to have multiple 'run-ins', and are actually working together on an upcoming sports drama, which is set to hit our screens next month.

The film in question is Unstoppable, and you can check out the official trailer here:
Affleck is actually one of the producers of the flick, which stars Lopez as Judy Robles, the mother of Anthony Robles (played by Jharrel Jerome), who was born with one leg and became a champion wrestler.
Based on a true story, Lopez opened up about her role who she admittedly thought was a 'smaller character' in the incredible story until she finally met the woman herself.

Speaking at a cinema screening of Unstoppable at the Cineworld in Leicester Square on Tuesday (5 November), The Backup Plan actress explained that the plot of the upcoming movie was 'relatable' for women in 'challenging relationships' - which could be a reference to her split from Affleck, recently admitting it had been a 'f*cking hard' summer for her.
Lopez, who shares two children with her ex, Marc Anthony, continued: "I think a lot of women have gone through that, and [Judy] and I talked a lot.
"We got to know each other. I wanted her to really feel safe with me [while] sharing details because as great as the story is, without the struggle, that's what makes it great."

The 'I'm Into You' singer continued: "There was a whole different story there that she was living, that you hide from your children, you protect your children from that."
She explained that he felt it was 'really, really important' to not just 'play the mum who the kids knew' but to also 'play the woman who raised these children'.
Speaking about her character some more, Lopez added she wanted to play the role as someone who 'found her own strength and her own struggles, and was able to put that and make sure her children…benefitted from her life experience, as opposed to being brought down by the things that she was struggling with'.

"And for me, it was just a full, beautiful character to play, and I really enjoyed kind of losing myself and…I didn't want anybody to see me in it. I wanted them to see Judy in it," she added.
Unstoppable will be available to see in selected cinemas from next month (6 December) and will hit Prime Video next year (16 January).
