Nickelodeon fans praise Josh Peck for reaction to rapper trying it on with Miranda Cosgrove

Nickelodeon fans praise Josh Peck for reaction to rapper trying it on with Miranda Cosgrove

Josh Peck and Miranda Cosgrove played siblings on the American sitcom Drake & Josh

People who grew up watching Nickelodeon are praising two former co-stars for their healthy relationship years after the show coming to an end.

Drake & Josh, an American teen sitcom which aired between 2004 and 2007, starring Drake Bell, Joshua Peck and Miranda Cosgrove, was a fan favourite among many young viewers.

In a new episode of Peck's podcast, Good Guys, he sat down with Cosgrove to catch up.

Peck, now 37, and Cosgrove, 31, gave us all of the nostalgia in the episode.

In the episode, Peck asks: "Have you ever dated anyone famous? I feel like your DM's must be lit up."

Cosgrove responds: "I have, I don't want to say who it is."

Peck interjects: "You don't have to. Don't, don't, don't."

The pair then burst out laughing.

Peck then says: "I remember there was some rapper dude who was, like, trying to make passes at you and I was like, 'Am I gonna have to fight this guy?'"

Cosgrove then adds: "Lil Pump?"

Peck says: "Is that him? Granted, he'll probably choke me out and I'll die..."

Cosgrove reassures: "You would've put up a good fight. That's really sweet. I appreciate you."

Peck then says: "I'm here for you."

All fans had the same reaction in the now-viral clip.

One fan wrote: "Taking big brother role to the max."

Another said: "Josh still being a big brother to her 16 years later and I'm here for it."

A third added: "This is so wholesome."

In Drake & Josh, Cosgrove played the conniving little step-sister of Peck, and she was always playing pranks on the brothers.

When the show ended, it led to the spin off films Drake & Josh Go Hollywood and Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh, both of which were loved by viewers.

Last year, in an interview with People, Cosgrove admitted she'd 'love' to play Peck's sibling again.

She said: "I'm really close with Josh. I think he's one of the best people ever.

"We've actually talked about that a little bit before, maybe someday doing something together."

She added: "I don't have any solid plans, but I'd love to [play brother and sister again] someday."

In 2022, she reflected on her initial audition and meeting Peck for the first time.

Cosgrove said: "I auditioned for [Drake & Josh] when I was 8 and the final audition was with Josh Peck, and I got to meet him for the first time.

She concluded: "It was so much fun getting to work with him when I was little because he's not afraid to just, like, go wild and be hilarious and improv and do whatever. So, I've always loved him."
