Julia Fox hits out at ex-husband for baptising son, 4, 'without her permission'

The 'Uncut Gems' star took aim at former flame Peter Artemiev in a scathing TikTok rant

Julia Fox is urging her fans to be careful 'who they have a child with', while slamming her ex-husband for having their son baptised without her knowledge.

In a damning new social media post, the Uncut Gems star named and shamed former flame Peter Artemiev, with whom she shares her four-year-old son Valentino.

For those in need of a reminder, the couple met at the wrap party of the 2018 Adam Sandler crime-thriller, with 35-year-old Fox immediately striking up a romantic connection with the Brooklyn-born private pilot.

Two months later, they'd tied the knot at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. During their relationship, they also welcomed a son.

Sadly, however, their marriage wasn't to last, and in July 2020, their divorce was finalised.

Artemiev had filed to end their relationship the February prior.

Since then, their co-parenting relationship has appeared somewhat strained, with Fox frequently taking aim at her ex-husband in conversations with the press.

And this week, she's taken to social media to slam Artemiev publicly. In a new TikTok video shared over the weekend, Fox alleged that her former beau arranged a baptism for Valentino, and hadn't invited Fox to the official ceremony.

"So basically, what happened was, I went to my son’s school for his school performance," she began. "His dad was there. He came late, as usual.

"And then I had to, like, help load some stuff in my car, so we were walking to my car, and he points to this church, and he goes, 'Oh, this is where Valentino was baptised.'"

Claiming she was horrified to hear the news, the actress continued: "I was like, 'Well, why wasn’t I invited?'. And he was like, 'You were invited; you just didn’t want to come'."

"And I was like, 'Okay, first of all, don’t tell me what I was not and was invited to.' Like, absolutely not."

The Presence actress went on to insist that, if she had received an invite, she would have attended.

"And if I wasn’t invited, I would still have a picture or something," she added. "Like, no one told me anything about this."

Fox continued her rant, recalling Artemiev telling her he remembers her telling him she 'didn't want to come' and 'didn't care' about Valentino being baptised, but claiming she had no recollection of saying such things.

She went on to claim that the interaction had reminded her of a previous abusive relationship, claiming she felt like she was 'being gaslighted over and over and over until then I freak out and then do something and he calls me abusive'.

The film star went on to claim that Artemiev's mother had told her that the ceremony was a 'Russian Orthodox thing and only Russian Orthodox people could come'.

"And it’s like, 'Wow, now I see where this man gets it from'," Fox quipped.

"Don’t gaslight me. That is a b******t excuse. I am this child’s mother. You are not his mother," she recalled telling the mother.

"I’ve been raising this child alone for four years, doing everything for him, taking him all around the world with me on any job I do, and you think I don’t care?

"I was like, ‘Listen, lady, your son doesn’t care. I care very much, and you just robbed me of an experience'."

Drawing the camera close to her face, she concluded her passionate plea by slamming her ex's family.

"It's just crazy, like you can't make this s**t up. These people are f**king animals."

Fox then warned her fans: "Girls. Please. Please from the bottom of my heart. Who you have a child with will dictate the rest of your life.

"Do not have a child with a loser."

Artemiev has since spoken out on Fox's outburst, telling PEOPLE Magazine that his own mother had called Fox to ask permission to have their toddler baptised.

"Her response to my mom was... 'I don't care about religion. If you want to baptize him. Baptize him. I don't care,'" he told the publication.

Tyla has contacted Fox for further comment.
