Following several years of concern over his wellbeing, Justin Bieber has shared an emotional message on social media.
In a lengthy new post shared last night (16 Mar), the Canadian singer admitted to feeling like he's 'drowning' amid fears for his mental health.
The update comes just weeks after some distressing images of Bieber went viral online, which led to him being branded both 'frail and unrecognisable' by social media critics.

One paparazzi snap shared in February saw him walking down the street in New York city, wearing his baggy black trousers down to his knees and several layers of outerwear up top.

Another, posted just days later, sparked concern that the 31-year-old might be taking drugs, forcing his representatives to release a statement shutting down such speculation.
In collaboration with his wife, 28-year-old Hailey Bieber's team, Bieber's agent slammed the public’s obsession over his mental and physical health is 'exhausting and pitiful and shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive'.

As we say, however, Bieber has since shared a new cryptic post to his social media, sparking further concern after admitting he feels 'unsafe'.
Set to SZA's track 'I Hate U', the father-of-one began his plea: "I was always told when I was a kid not to hate.
"But it make me feel like I wasn't allowed to have it and so I didn't tell anyone I've had it.
"Which made me feel like I was drowning, unsafe to acknowledge it. I think we can only let hate go by first acknowledging its there."

He went on to ask: "How couldn't we feel hate from all of the hurt we've experienced?"
The latest online message also comes just days after Bieber - who shares a six-month-old son named Jack Blues Bieber with wife Hailey - also took to Instagram to brand himself a 'fraud', whilst opening up on feelings of unworthiness he's experienced in his career.
On Friday (14 Mar), he penned in a similar style of note: "People told me my whole life, 'wow Justin u deserve that', and I personally have always felt unworthy," he began.

"Like I was a fraud," Bieber added. "Like when people told me I deserve something, it made me feel sneaky like, 'Damn, if they only knew my thoughts, how judgemental I am, how selfish I really am, they wouldn't be saying this.'"
He continued: "I say all this to say, if you feel sneaky, welcome to the club. I definitely feel unequipped and unqualified most days."
Aside from concerns over his mental state, Bieber has also battled Lyme disease - a condition caused by an infection from a tick bite - since January 2020.

Announcing his diagnosis at the time, the 'Baby' musician also revealed he'd been diagnosed with Mono, simultaneously forcing him to take a step back from the spotlight. Weeks later, Bieber also a statement addressing previous sickly images of him that had gone viral online.
"This was a time where I was really unhealthy," he hit out on Instagram. "I was battling Lyme disease, right?
"All of the top photos are me looking disheveled, right? I was obviously going through a tough time, but it’s like, these are the photos that the media tries to run with."
