Justin Trudeau's ex wife has shared a post about 'letting go' following *those* Katy Perry photos that emerged this week.
Over the weekend, pictures were revealed of Perry, 40, and the former Canadian Prime Minister, 53, cosying up on a luxury yacht in California.
The photos were said to have been taken a few weeks ago and were snapped by tourists on a whale-spotting charter.
In the photos, the pair appear to be embracing in their swimwear, with Trudeau going in for a kiss a few times.

The yacht is believed to belong to Perry and was sailing in the Santa Barbara Channel, California at the time the photos were taken,
Trudeau's distinctive upper arm tattoo can be seen in the images, which appear to confirm it was him.

Although the pair haven't directly addressed a romance, they have also been spotted together on a couple of other occasions.

Perry and Trudeau were seen together in late July on what appeared to be a dinner date in Montreal.
Just one day later, the former Canadian PM was spotted in the crowd at one of Katy's Canadian shows as part of her tour, adding to the romance speculation.
Following the photos going viral over the weekend, Trudeau's ex-wife, Sophie Grégoire, shared an emotional post about love and 'letting go'.
"Nothing we love is meant to be kept," she said in an Instagram video.

"The people, places, even the moments that once felt infinite, time asks us to not cling to them and yet, we do. To hold on feels safer than to let go but love was never about possession it was always about presence. The present moment.
"And when we release what we cannot keep, we make space for the truth of connection, intimacy, the memory, you know, for the lesson, for the way a single smile can echo across a lifetime."
Trudeau and Grégoire share three children together - Xavier, Ella-Grace, and Hadrien. The couple split in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.

After Grégoire shared the video, several followers commented on the timing of the video, and how it had been posted just hours after the photos were released.
One wrote: "Beautiful. Timely."
While another said: "Not you releasing this after your ex was seen with Katy Perry."
However, another pointed out: "Her dad literally died a year ago. And she literally mentions her dad in her message. This message is about acceptance of someone who you love passing away, and holding on to the beautiful memories you shared with them."

Although neither Perry or Trudeau have addressed the photos, Perry - who is currently on her Lifetimes World Tour - recently performed at the O2 Arena and made a subtle comment about her love life.
According to The Sun, in a segment where she was chatting to the crowd, the singer reportedly said: "London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school?"
She then added: "No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time... but not anymore."
It seems the 'Englishmen' Katy said she falls for is likely referring to her ex, English actor Orlando Bloom, and possibly even her ex-husband Russell Brand.
