Kim Kardashian has finally revealed the truth behind her seriously controversial outfit that sparked major backlash from fans.
Now, the theme of last year's Met Gala was 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion' with a dress code of 'The Garden of Time'.
Kim's take on the theme saw her don a seriously waist-cinching custom Margiela by John Galliano strapless silver corset and the look was completed with some floor-length silver leaf mesh netting and a grey shrug-style cardigan to pair with tousled blonde locks.
The ensemble seriously divided fans online with one X user slamming: "Her waist is making us uncomfortable."

A second penned: "Her waist oh my?!!?!?!!"
"What surgery did she have done to her waist to get it that small," asked a third while a fourth stated: "Her waist is non-existent in that dress."
"Girl where is your waist???" wondered a fifth while a sixth highlighted: "Kim Kardashian’s waist is absurd. Like not to be a hater but it actually is concerning especially when ppl aspire to be like her. Sorry."
A seventh worried: "Your waist does NOT need to me that small? Are you okay?"

And now, the 44-year-old reality TV star has finally opened up about the look on Thursday's episode (13 February) of The Kardashians.

"I’m not as uncomfortable as I might look," she assured. "It’s definitely a performance piece. I mean, God bless the Bridgerton cast that has to dress like this every single day. That would be so difficult."
One clip from the Met Gala sees Kim start to panic while standing up inside a limo when her friend can't help her out of the dress, claiming she feels like she is 'literally going to throw up'.
"I am claustrophobic. I've never felt this way before, where I feel like I can't breathe," she recalled in a confessional.

Kim went on to explain: "It's like I can handle it for so long, but I have to pee, I can't breathe, I can't get this off, so... I was like I'm going to die if you don't get this off of me right now."
“I’ve never been more uncomfortable," she says in the limo, adding that she feels like she 'can't breathe'.
Following the event, Kim and her friend make it back to the hotel where her corset gets unbuttoned revealing her back purple with painful-looking marks left by the garment.

Well, when asked in a confessional if the pain was worth it, Kim declared: "Abso-f**king-lutely."
"That's just who I am," she beamed. "If you look good, it's all worth it."
