"My son has an auto-immune disease and they said it’s hereditary and so we were trying to figure it out," she explained, revealing that the condition was vitiligo.
Adding that the disease 'came from from my mum [Kris Jenner]', Kim said that it then 'went to me, and I passed it on in a different form to my son'.
The SKIMS bosses continued to admit: "I didn’t know anything about it, but having to learn about it and figuring out where it came from and that it’s hereditary and just learning more and being able to share that has been a blessing."
What is vitiligo?

This rare disease describes a long-term condition which sees pale white patches of skin develop in certain areas of the body, due to a lack of melanin.
While it can affect any area of the body, vitiligo is more commonly found on the face, neck and hands, as well as within the creases of the skin.
This, in turn, makes these areas of the body more partial to sunburn, with doctors encouraging vilitigo-sufferers to take extra care when it comes to applying SPF.
It's said that Vitiligo affects around one percent of the entire world's population.
