You'd think being a mother-of-four, Kourtney Kardashian would be more than familiar with raising children.
Apparently, however, the reality TV star has sparked some concerns this week by referring to a rather controversial parenting tactic whilst teaching her youngest son, Rocky, about bedtime.
And amongst those to have expressed their doubts over Kourtney's new sleeping routine is her own mother, Kris Jenner.

For those in need of a reminder, the 45-year-old welcomed her 17-month-old with Blink-182 husband Travis Barker in November 2023 - 18 months after the couple tied the knot in Portofino, Italy.
Kourtney is also mum to three older children - sons Mason, 15, and Reign, 10, as well as daughter Penelope, 12 - all of whom she shares with long-term ex-partner, Scott Disick.

Barker, meanwhile, shares 21-year-old son Landon and 19-year-old daughter Alabama with former flame, Shanna Moakler.

As we say, however, despite the pair having a wealth of mother and fatherhood experience under their belt, they've come under scrutiny this week after Kourtney revealed Rocky stays in their bedroom at night.
During an appearance on the latest episode of The Kardashians, she asked her 69-year-old mother Kris if she agrees with the idea of allowing a 'kid in the bed', to which she hit back: "Well, no."
Kourtney then responds: "I wouldn't be able to sleep if my baby was in another room, by himself, in a crib."
Kris - who, herself, is a mother-of-six - is then seen joking, 'I was a horrible mother,' alluding to the fact she did things different when rearing Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, Rob, Kendall and Kylie.

"No, I'm not saying you are," her eldest quickly responded. "And I'm not saying it's bad because that's what everyone did at the time."
Kris then teased: "This is a different generation, you guys."

She went on to explain: "We didn't co-sleep in the ‘80s, no, we didn't.

"We had structure. We had schedules. We had meal times. We put our kids to bed at 7 o' clock.
"And then we go to dinner and have some grown up time and it was a wonderful life."
Kourtney is no stranger to co-parenting, however. Just last year, she fiercely defended how long she co-slept with her daughter Penelope for.
Opening up about the reason behind the decision on Dear Media's The Skinny Confidential podcast in September, she said: "I'm on the craziest hours right now because of our whole summer of touring, but I think one thing too is that we sleep with our baby."

Kourtney added that, as a mother, she'll do whatever 'feels natural and instinctual' to her, adding: "And that's for me what it is.
"And of course, I also read all the benefits and hear all the benefits. And I mean, it's something that mammals have been doing for since time existed. I think every person's different and every child is different."

She also reflected at the time on her eldest son Mason's sleeping routine.
"My oldest son slept with me till he was 7 and just naturally wanted to sleep," she added. "I mean also part of it [is] like at a certain time I would put him to bed in his room and then he would come to my room."
And going back to her only daughter, she said Penelope slept next to her for four years longer than Mason.
Kourtney continued: "That's what my daughter does. She comes in. And then at 7 he [Mason] just stopped and he was like, 'I'm done with you, I sleep in my own room.'
"And then my daughter slept with me pretty much till she was 11."
