Photos show fans gathering outside the hotel where Liam Payne was found dead, following confirmation that he had fallen from a balcony.
Payne had been staying at the hotel CasaSur in Palermo, Buenos Aires, having been in Argentina to attend the concert of former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan.
He had been seen dancing at the show two weeks ago at the Movistar Arena, alongside his girlfriend Kate Cassidy.

Police confirmed they had been dispatched to the hotel after an emergency call.
They said they had been 'informed of an aggressive man who may have been under the effects of drugs and alcohol'.
According to the BBC, when police arrived, the officer in charge reported hearing a large sound in the inner courtyard of the hotel.
Police have said Payne's body has been transported to a morgue.

And as people came together in the Palermo neighbourhood, tributes also came flooding in online.
Paris Hilton shared her 'condolences' on X, writing: "So upsetting to hear the news of @LiamPayne passing. Sending love and condolences to his family & loved ones. RIP my friend."

The duo added in a follow-up tweet: "Sending strength to Cheryl and his son Bear and all the One direction Family. RIP @LiamPayne."
Charlie Puth took to Instagram, saying: "I am in shock right now. Liam was always so kind to me. He was one of the first major artists I got to work with. I can not believe he is gone..."

Music producer Zedd, who released single 'Get Low' with Payne in 2017, said the news was 'absolutely heartbreaking'.
"RIP Liam… I can’t believe this is real…" he said.
Payne, who was born in Wolverhampton, rose to fame alongside Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Harry Styles, forming One Direction together on The X Factor in 2010.
After becoming one of the biggest pop groups in the world with five albums and four world tours, the band went on indefinite hiatus in 2016.

A year later, Payne and ex-girlfriend Cheryl Tweedy (formerly Cole) welcomed a son named Bear, before their relationship ended in 2018.
He went on to release his debut solo album LP1 in December 2019 which included the singles 'Polaroid' and 'Familiar'.
