A warning has been issued over fake videos following Liam Payne’s sudden death.
Last night, the 31-year-old former One Direction star fell from a third-floor hotel room balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Officials have since released statements surrounding the singer's death, detailing that 'the injuries he had suffered as a result of the fall proved to be fatal'.
Many fans and friends have since flocked to social media to share their tributes to the late singer and father-of-one.

Payne's family has also shared a touching message following his sudden death, saying they are 'heartbroken' by his death, adding in a statement that 'Liam will forever live in our hearts and we’ll remember him for his kind, funny and brave soul'.
"We are supporting each other the best we can as a family and ask for privacy and space at this awful time," they added.
Sky correspondent Daniel Henry has since shared some more of the details surrounding Payne's death.

He said: "All of these details - very, very distressing for the family and friends of Liam Payne, who will be waking up this morning in disbelief that someone that they loved now is no longer with us."
Citing police statements, Henry shared that they had been called to the hotel after reports of 'an aggressive man who may have been under the effects of drugs and alcohol'.
"The autopsy obviously has not been completed yet, so at this stage, we don't know what, if anything, was in his system," he added.
"But as I say, the key thing here, just this loss of life; 31 years old, such a young age, and someone who is a father, leaving behind a young son."

Amidst all the tributes circulating online is unfortunately the spreading of misinformation and 'fake footage' which showed a man falling from a building, which many people claimed to be Payne.
This, however, was proved to be false with one video posted on X seeing users fact-checking the video and finding that it was actually from last year and filmed in Mexico city.
The man in question, according to X's 'context' feature, 'tried to escape the building due to a fire' and 'was rushed to hospital seriously injured'.

Unfortunately, before the video was verified, it had already been re-shared across social media, with many believing it was real.
Similar incidents have since happened across social media platforms, so it's important to be vigilant of fake reports because online misinformation can seriously alter someone's understanding of what’s actually happened.
And, in turn, this can have a real-life impact on anyone connected to or affected by Payne’s death.
