Fans of comedy power couple Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont were left devastated earlier this month when the much-loved duo announced they'd sadly called time on their marriage.
And last night - after much anticipation - award-winning funny-woman Lucy broke her silence on the shock split.
For those unfamiliar with their big-name love story, the rib-tickling pair were first introduced by mutual friend and fellow comedian Roisin Conaty all the way back in 2013, and just two years later, they tied the knot.

The couple, both 40 - famed for their joint at-home 'mockumentary' series Meet The Richardsons as well as respective comedy careers - went on to welcome a daughter a year later.
Jon and Lucy had been married for nine years when they broke the news in an emotional statement on 12 April.
"We have jointly and amicably made the difficult decision to divorce and go our separate ways,"they wrote on Instagram at the time.
"As our only priority is managing this difficult transition for our daughter, we would ask that our privacy is respected at this sensitive time to protect her well-being. We will be making no further comment."

Since announcing their separation, the former flames have kept a relatively low profile... until now, that is.
That's because Lucy has shed some light on her and Jon's decision to end their marriage - though not in the way one might expect.
No, instead of lifting the lid on the reasons why in a tell-all admission, or taking the controversial opportunity to throw shade at her ex-husband, Lucy instead made a lighthearted quip about her divorce in one of her stand-up routines.

The star took to the stage of London's Bloomsbury Theatre on Saturday night (20 April) as part of her debut one-woman UK tour, which is titled 'Trouble and Strife'.
If you can't get your head around the joke, allow me to break things down for you. In cockney rhyming slang, this three-word term is used to describe someone's wife...
Making light of the awkward coincidence, she had attendees in stitches by confessing: "I didn’t have time to change the show!"

According to audience members from Metro, Lucy went on to admit that she and Jon had actually split 'last year', but were forced to break the news earlier this month after a publication had allegedly 'found out'.
She also insisted their split really was as amicable as their initial statement claimed, adding: "We’re friends. It’s the best for everybody."
