Music icon Mariah Carey usually makes headlines around this time of year thanks to her plethora of Christmas hits.
This time, however, it's due to rumours that her and her professional dancer boyfriend, Bryan Tanaka, have decided to split.
The reports comes after months of fans speculating that their time together was coming to an end.

Rumours about the celeb couple's love life (or lack thereof) had been circulating since there was a notable absence of Bryan at high-profile events that Mariah had attended, including the Billboard Music Awards on 20 November.
The Billboard Music Awards shared a snap of Mariah, pictured with her twin children, on social media along with the caption: 'It was a family affair at the BBMAs for Mariah Carey!'
Fans also realised that the pair weren't posting about each other on social media, after noticing a lack of photos of them together.
The pair's split has allegedly been confirmed, with Mariah and Bryan believed to have ended their seven-year stint together as the dancer wanted children. This news comes from an anonymous source who told Page Six exclusively.

The source said: "He wants to have a family. That's not where she is at."
The couple's 14-year age gap is believed to have played a part in the celebrity lovebirds wanting different things, as Mariah already has two children of her own with ex-husband, Nick Cannon.
The rumours became even more prominent when Mariah was spotted on her annual visit to Aspen, Colarado with Bryan nowhere to be seen.

The couple first met in 2006 when they began working together professionally on choreography for performances. However, it was 2016 before the pair decided to start dating. Mariah and Bryan seemed to be loved up, spending holidays together and travelling across the world. Despite an initial blip which caused them to split after five months of dating, the pair reunited shortly after and were inseparable - until now that is.
Fans have been sharing their opinions on a post shared on X by PopBase this morning, with one writing: 'Feel like they shouldve figured out the kids thing before 7 years in."
Another added: "He wants kids with a 54 year old woman?"

A third wrote: "I had a feeling they were broken up! We didn’t see him in awhile! I hope Mariah Carey is doing ok, and is able to find love and happiness! Breakups can be hard!"
However, one skeptical fan who thinks it could be a media ploy, said: "I also kind of feel like this could be for publicity. this is right before christmas, she is now #1 on the charts but brenda lee had that spot for a while. idk maybe im just crazy."
