Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, the identical twins who shot to fame as child stars in titles such as Full House and The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley, have given a rare interview about their lives.
Mary-Kate and Ashley, aged 38, took a step back from acting and the spotlight in general 20 years ago.
Their last TV appearance was during an episode of Saturday Night Live in 2004.

The twins launched their luxury fashion brand, The Row, in 2006.
As per the website, The Row is a brand: "focusing on exceptional fabrics, impeccable details, and precise tailoring, the house combines a timeless perspective with subtle attitudes which form an irreverent classic signature.
"The Row’s collections also explore the strength of simplistic shapes that speak to discretion and are based on uncompromising quality."

The label has won numerous awards, most recently Accessories Designer of the Year at 2021's CFDA Fashion Awards.
The twins are set to open a new The Row store in Paris.
In a 23 September interview with Vogue, Ashley said: "We've been looking for years. We wanted to be in Paris before we opened in London, but we didn't find anything here first. Then, 18 months ago, a friend told us about this place."
She continued: "It has to be a nice experience for the community—a sense of the store being local. We want the experience to be unique and special. Their experience is as important to us as anything else we do."

Ashley added: "You need to be very agile, and to make adjustments, so opening the doors and learning one day at a time … that's very us. This may not be the most obvious place to be in Paris—we looked at almost every major street in the city—but we're very happy here."
The spot for their Parisian store required a lot of renovation.
Ashley shared: "The best way to describe the whole process, was a series of baby steps, which we did with a bunch of people who were happy to try with us."

Mary-Kate chimed: "Having so many windows is amazing, but also a challenge. Because Ashley and I don't like putting anything in our windows."
As per the article, the twins remedied this opting for some blinds, 'which are edged with ribbons, designed by Lilou Marquand, whose work they are crazy about.'
Lilou once assisted Coco Chanel, so it's an obviously great choice.
