Warning: This article contains discussion of domestic violence which some readers may find distressing
A collection of poems included in Megan Fox's latest book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous, have sparked mass concern amongst her fans.
The 38-year-old US actress announced her plans for the anthology in August of last year, with Fox later reporting that the work was 'written in an attempt to excise the illness that has taken root in me because of my silence'.
"I've spent my entire life carrying the secrets of men, my body aches from carrying the secrets of their sins," the mother-of-three is said to have continued.

"My freedom lives in these pages and I hope that my words can inspire others to take back their happiness and identity by using their voice to illuminate what's been buried, but not forgotten, in the darkness."
As we say, however, fans of the Jennifer's Body front-woman have been left concerned by certain pieces within the book, including one which seems to allude to her experience with domestic violence.
Amongst some of the most hotly-debated poems are one which appears to be titled 'f**ked-up fairy tales', which reads as follows:

prettiest boy,
full of sadness and mischief.
your words and winsome and diaphanous
like the rain that momentarily collects on flower petals
Advert
my heart stretches eager to encapsulate your wounds
let me heal you.
violent boy,
full of rage and insecurities,

your hands are so beautiful and strong.
you use them to hurt me now.
delicate bruises splayed across by jaw
i wonder what you are thinking while i cry and beg you to stop.

Whilst Fox doesn't identify the man in question, she seems to be hinting at a similar experience in another piece, which says, 'mornings after you would hurt me I would wake up and make your coffee, put on a sweatshirt so you wouldn't have to look at the bruises you left'.
Another moment hears her seemingly recalling 'your love leaves bloodstains on my bedsheets'.
Fans of the movie star - who is currently expecting a child with on-off fiancé Machine Gun Kelly - have since expressed their concern for her safety.
"Isn’t she pregnant again too? I really hope she’s ok and has a good support system. What she’s describing in these poems is textbook emotional and physical abuse… Very disturbing," one penned on Reddit.
Another went on: "Yeah it sounded exactly like my relationship with a man who had a personality disorder that contributes to a lot of these behaviors."
"Trauma bonds are incredibly hard to break, especially if you don’t have a support system. Idk if she will leave any time soon, but I hope she does eventually," added a third.
Fans' worry comes just weeks after Fox told Good Morning America presenters the purpose of the book was about reflecting on 'horrific' past love affairs, claiming: "This is not an exposé that I wrote or a memoir."
Fox - who was previously married to fellow actor Brian Austin Green - added: "But throughout my life I have been in at least one physically abusive relationship and several psychologically very abusive relationships.
"I have only been publicly connected to a few people, but I shared energy with, I guess we could say, who were horrific people. And also very famous — very famous — people. But no one knows that I was involved with those people."
LADbible Group contacted Fox's representatives for comment.
