Miley Cyrus takes dig at Kendall Jenner during performance and fans are already predicting what’s about to happen

Everyone who's familiar with Miley Cyrus knows she's firmly one of the gals and loves to poke a bit of light-hearted fun in various directions.

The 31-year-old Grammy-award winning songstress has been accused of making reality star and model Kendall Jenner her latest target.

On Thursday (18 July), Miley, who hasn't been on tour since 2022 but still enchants people with her harmonies, treated an intimate, 200-strong crowd to a special performance.

She was in the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles, California, for an event that was celebrating the Gucci Flora fragrance.

Miley has represented the fragrance for a few years, and starred in an advert in 2022 that gave us the poppy ear worm 'Delicious'.

During her Chateau Marmont performance, Miley was clad in a black dress and sunglasses as she broke into an a capella version of her song 'Flowers'.

She first asked the crowd: "Why am I singing and you're not?" To encourage guests to get involved with the performance.

Moments later, Miley removed her sunglasses to ask: "Is that Kendall Jenner doing harmonies?"

She also made the subtle change in lyrics from changing 'cherry red' to 'Ancora red' - a colour which has been introduced by the creative director of Gucci, Sabato De Sarno, who was in attendance.

It wasn't her only playful moment of the evening.

Miley also amended her lyrics, about heartbreak, to: "Started to cry, but then remembered… I'm the face of Gucci!"

During a confessional in a July 2023 episode of The Kardashians, Kendall quipped that she is the 'best singer in the family'.

She said: "I will never sing for anyone, but I can sing. You guys think it's Kylie [Jenner], but I swear to you, you’ll never know that I am the best singer in the family. I will continue to sing in the shower or in the car."

And now some fans are starting to think she wasn't joking.

Underneath a clip of Miley calling out Kendall for harmonising, one person wrote: "Kendall singing career. Calling it."

Some jumped to the conclusion that Miley was 'shading' Kendall for singing along, but many fans leapt to the stars defence.

One fan commented: "It’s not shade, obviously she didn’t know everyone who was in attendance and spotted Kendall. Idk how people can read the situation as anything else."

Another said: "Yeah she's impressed toooo! Kendall can singgg."

While a third chimed in: "Kris Jenner typing up a contract already."
