Molly-Mae reveals how Tommy Fury's drinking left her 'traumatised' as she reflects on horrible incident at wedding

Molly-Mae reveals how Tommy Fury's drinking left her 'traumatised' as she reflects on horrible incident at wedding

The 'Behind It All' star spoke about the real reason for their shock split in her new Prime Video documentary

Molly-Mae Hague recalled a moment where her ex fiancé, Tommy Fury's, drinking habits 'traumatised' her and prompted her to end things for good.

Earlier this week, the 25-year-old boxer told Men's Health this week (15 January) that the rumours about his supposed infidelity were far from true - revealing, instead, that the break-up was prompted by his drinking habits.

"All I've been seeing for the past six months is 'Cheater!', 'He slept with me!', 'He slept with this girl, he slept with that girl!', complete and utter b*llocks," he hit out.

"We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn't be the partner that I wanted to be anymore. It kills me to say it, but I couldn't. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink."

And today, in her brand new Prime Video documentary Behind It All the social media star has confirmed her ex's shocking claims, lifting the lid on Tommy's drinking.

Talking to her mum at one point in the programme, Molly-Mae explains that Tommy has been visiting their Cheshire home to check on the nearly two-year-old daughter, Bambi, that the two share.

"It’s all so fresh, and I feel really traumatised by the last couple of months, and when I see him, I see all that trauma," Molly-Mae begins in an emotional confession.

"I am angry at him, and I am very hurt. I can’t help that."

Elsewhere in the episode, the mother-of-one tells viewers in a confessional: "I never wanted to be with someone that drank because my mum had a period of time in her life where she struggled because her marriage of 25 years had just ended, and she turned to drink probably more than she should have.

"I was only about 14-15 when that happened, and I saw my mum in some states, going through a really vulnerable time, so I’ve never been around it in a positive life."

"There were exterior issues going on for him that was causing our relationship to have problems. His drinking."

Molly-Mae went on to say: "He’s never had an alcohol problem, it’s just that alcohol causes problem for us."

She then spoke of her elder sister Zoe's nuptials in July of last year, to which she, Tommy and Bambi attended.

"It got to the point that I wasn’t really looking forward to anything because alcohol affected it so much," the former Love Island contestant cried.

"At my sister’s wedding, I literally pleaded with Tommy, like I begged him, not to drink, and [crying] I don’t know, it’s just really sad."

Wiping away tears, she added: "It’s just so sad."

Again speaking to her mum, Molly-Mae went on to explain: "There were exterior issues going on for him that was causing our relationship to have problems. His drinking.

"He wanted to have a family life, but then also wanted to have the life of a 25-year-old boy with no responsibilities, and that’s just - the two don’t go hand in hand."

The episode also hears Molly's mum Debbie's take on the breakdown of the relationship, with the mum-of-two making some pretty damning statements about Tommy in a confessional of her own.

"I am very fond of Tommy," Debbie began. "He looked after Molly, made her laugh, treated her well, and for quite a long time, that outweighed the not-so great stuff that was going on."

Talking of her daughter, she added: "She [Molly-Mae] was going to go through the turmoil of a break-up and the heartbreak of a break-up, but moving forward, she wouldn’t have endless nights lying there worrying.

“It’s horrible how alcohol has really messed things up. It’s been so detrimental and destructive."

In the programme, Debbie also tells Molly-Mae directly. "I could only cite a couple of examples where he had some alcohol and it’s not led to anything disastrous."

Molly-Mae: Behind It All eps 1-3 launch exclusively on Prime Video on 17th January. The latter three episodes will drop in Spring 2025.
