Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise’s son, Connor, has shared an extremely rare selfie giving fans an insight into his life.

Kidman, 57, and Cruise, 62, first met on the set of the hit film Days of Thunder and decided to tie the knot only a year later in a private ceremony on Christmas Eve in 1990.

Just a couple years later in 1992, the celebrity pair adopted a daughter named Isabella Jane and some years after that, in 1995, they adopted a son, Connor.

However, they parted ways in 2001 with Kidman admitting to Vanity Fair: "I fell madly, passionately in love. And as happens when you fall in love, my whole plan in terms of what I wanted for my life — I was like, 'Forget it. This is it'.

"I was consumed by it, willingly. And I was desperate to have a baby with him. I didn’t care if we were married."

Cruise went on to marry his third wife, Katie Holmes from 2006 to 2012 and had a daughter, Suri Cruise, with her in 2006.

Meanwhile, Kidman married country music star, Keith Urban, in 2006 and went on to have two daughters with him, Sunday Rose and Faith, who were born in 2008 and 2010.

Now, both Isabella, 31, and Connor, 29, have largely kept away from the public eye and don't tend to post photos of their parents on social media.

However, Connor recently posted a pretty rare pic of himself with a friend at a golf course in Florida.

Kidman is now reportedly considering leaving the US for her homeland with her husband.

This comes after a slew of celebrities bolted the US after Donald Trump won the election.

She received the shock news that her mother, Janelle, died while she was promoting her movie Babygirl, leading the actress to return to Sydney back in October to attend the funeral.
