Hardcore Ozzy Osbourne fans will know that the music legend had picked out the words he wanted on his gravestone and place he wanted to be buried years before he died.
The Black Sabbath frontman, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in February 2019, tragically passed away aged 79 last week, leaving behind his wife Sharon and six children.
Since then, the world has been in mourning, with fans and celebrities around the globe paying tribute to the star.
On Wednesday (30 July), a hearse with his coffin inside made its way past his childhood home and into Birmingham city centre, where hundreds of fans lined the streets to say goodbye.

Sharon, who was married to the rocker for more than four decades, was also in attendance with her son Jack and daughters Aimee and Kelly.
The mother-of-three was visibly emotional as she stepped out of a car to view the floral tributes and balloons laid around the Black Sabbath bench.

Meanwhile, musicians from Bostin Brass played Black Sabbath songs to accompany the cortege, and fans threw flowers at the hearse while it slowly passed through the city.

The day and the huge turnout were a fitting tribute to Osbourne, especially based on what he’s said he wanted his funeral to be in the past.
In a fan Q&A with The Times back in 2011, Ozzy opened up on exactly how he would picture the day.
He revealed: “I honestly don’t care what they play at my funeral; they can put on a medley of Justin Bieber, Susan Boyle and We Are the Diddymen if it makes ’em happy – but I do want to make sure it’s a celebration, not a mope-fest.”
And now, it’s been revealed that as well as an idea for his funeral, the legend had also joked about what should go on his gravestone, as well as where he pictured his burial site.

Opening up on the matter in his 2010 autobiography I Am Ozzy, the frontman wrote: “Eventually death will come, like it comes to everyone.
“I've said to Sharon: ‘Don’t cremate me, whatever you do.’ I want to be put in the ground, in a nice garden somewhere, with a tree planted over my head.”
In true Osbourne fashion, he wanted ‘a crabapple tree, preferably’ so that his ‘kids can make wine out of me and get p***ed out of their heads.’
As for the words on the stone, he joked: “I ain't under any illusions. If I close my eyes, I can already see it.

“Ozzy Osbourne, born 1948. Died, whenever. He bit the head off a bat.”

This is, of course, referencing the controversial 1982 moment he picked up a live bat on stage and bit off its head - although, he claims he didn’t know it was alive at the time.
As per MailOnline, Osbourne got some of his wishes as another private service happened yesterday (31 July), which saw him be buried in a freshly dug grave, located close to the lake on his 250-acre property close to Gerrards Cross.

The word ‘Ozzy’ is supposedly spelled out in a bouquet of purple flowers behind the manor house, and three bunches of purple plants were placed nearby, reading: ‘OZZY F**KING OSBOURNE.’
