Pamela Anderson realised she ‘needed to leave’ her career as a Playboy model behind after an infamous incident took place at Hugh Hefner’s Los Angeles mansion.
Baywatch actress Pamela, 57, is booked and busy right now with three films, including the next instalment in the Naked Gun franchise, slated for release next year.
Earlier this week, the mum-of-two stepped out at the Governors Awards in LA and attended the Deadline Contenders Film Event to celebrate Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl.

The flick sees Pamela, who has more than three decades worth of entertainment experience, portraying a seasoned showgirl who is forced to plan her future after her show closes abruptly.
The star, who made her feature film debut as a cheerleader in 1991’s The Taking of Beverly Hills, first rose to fame through Playboy and made her first cover appearance for the magazine’s October 1989 issue.
She was named Playmate of the Month in its February 1990 issue and in 2011, set a record by gracing the mag for the 13th time - more than anyone else in the publication’s history.

In 2016, it was announced that Pamela would be the last model to ever pose nude for the magazine.
Her January/February 2016 Playboy cover followed the official announcement that the magazine would no longer include naked photo shoots in upcoming issues.
In 2018, the Canadian celebrity lifted the lid on why she decided to wave goodbye to Playboy and it’s founder, the late Hugh Hefner.

The publisher, who died in September 2017 aged 91, was described by Pamela as ‘the 'most important person in [her] life’ and is credited as kick-starting her career.
“Everything anyone loves about me is because you understood me. Accepted me and encouraged me to be myself... You said the magazine was about a girl like me,” she wrote in a tribute post.
“I will miss your everything. Thank you for making the world a better place. A freer and sexier place. You were a gentleman charming, elegant, chivalrous and so much fun.”

A year on from Hugh’s death, Pamela appeared on an episode of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories.
The instalment included her making the candid confession about her decision to leave Playboy, claiming it began when she followed a group of girls up the stairs of the LA mansion.
"I followed them upstairs. I thought, 'What could be going on up here?',” she told the British journalist.
"Seven girls, one at a time with Hef. I was stood at the end of the bed watching them and then I realised they were watching me.
